Adrian Newey will be watching the Italian Grand Prix this and wondering if he will be able to add two more championships to his CV at the end of the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Red Bull can no longer rely on Adrian Newey’s expertise beyond this season and he’s said to have already stepped away from their Formula 1 project.
Newey has been instrumental in the team’s success over the past two decades, helping Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen establish their dominance over the rest of the grid.
However, that advantage has slipped away this year and it’s up to the likes of Pierre Wache to find a solution.
One of the most exciting talking points in the paddock this year has been where Newey will end up next.

Aston Martin have been heavily linked with hiring Newey but nothing appears to be set in stone at this stage.
Alpine have also reportedly held talks with Newey but until an announcement is made – which isn’t expected until at least the middle of September – his future is still unknown.

Eddie Jordan is Newey’s manager and once again on the Formula For Success Podcast, his co-host David Coulthard asked about his potential next destination.
Jordan was quick to shut down any suggestion that he would reveal the 65-year-old’s next steps.
Instead, he pointed out that every team on the grid has spoken to Newey this year about his next steps.
Eddie Jordan responds when asked about Adrian Newey’s Formula 1 future
Asked about Newey’s future, Jordan admitted: “I haven’t seen or written anything to do with Alpine and Adrian and as I said, every single team in Formula 1 has now approached him.
“So, Adrian is a person who is not absolutely guided by money, so you’re assuming that money is the big draw here.

“I think what he has in his mind is that where he’s been successful at Leyton House, where he was successful at Williams, then at McLaren, then at Red Bull, he likes a challenge.
“Now, every single team in Formula 1 is a massive challenge as well you know.
“So, could I tell you and would I tell you, not in a million years because Adrian is my friend and we know what he can do.”
Eddie Jordan furious with how one driver was treated by his team during the Dutch Grand Prix
Reflecting on the action on the track, Jordan kept a close eye on events at Zandvoort last weekend.
Although Logan Sargeant and Lando Norris made headlines for very different reasons, Jordan was furious with McLaren’s strategy for Oscar Piastri.
McLaren had by far the fastest car during the Dutch Grand Prix weekend but Piastri could only qualify 3rd while Norris was on pole position.
Both Norris and Piastri had poor starts and lost places on the first lap, but while Norris was able to pass Verstappen and secure his second F1 victory, Piastri couldn’t even finish on the podium.
He ended up stuck behind Charles Leclerc for most of the race and Jordan believes McLaren pitted the Australian much too late.
All eyes now turn to Monza to see if McLaren can continue their assault on an Adrian Newey-less Red Bull team.
