F1 Oversteer brings you all of the latest news, rumours, opinions and updates about Ford and its involvement in Formula 1. The American automotive giant will return to Grand Prix racing in 2026 as an engine technical partner of Red Bull Powertrains under the sport’s new ruleset.
Ford first entered F1 in 1967 with the iconic DFV engine in partnership with Cosworth. The DFV engine went on to win 155 Grand Prix up until 1983 and powered 12 drivers’ champions. Ford continued to produce F1 engines until 2005 when it sold the Jaguar team to Red Bull.
