Max Verstappen finds his frustration with Red Bull growing after pointing out an issue he has dealt with for several seasons.

After a difficult first practice and sprint qualifying session on Friday, an irate Verstappen ripped into Red Bull for issues he experienced with the RBR22.

Even after Red Bull’s dramatic improvement after the first three races this season, Verstappen is still holding the team accountable for their shortcomings.

Max Verstappen makes a U-Turn on his recent retirement stance. Do you think he said it to force Formula 1’s hand?

And after a disappointing outing in the Canadian Sprint, where he finished seventh, Verstappen took aim at his team for not addressing a serious issue he has had over the last few years.

In particular, Max Verstappen wants the car to be more stable going forward, especially on a circuit like Montreal, where excessive bouncing can be extremely detrimental.

Max Verstappen wants Red Bull to address the years-long bouncing issue

Speaking to Dutch outlet Viaplay after the Canadian Sprint, Max Verstappen shared his frustration over the RBR22’s performance.

He noted that the car bounced a lot, an issue that isn’t exclusive to this year’s Red Bull car. And on a difficult circuit like Montreal, it makes it all the more challenging.

“The car feels a lot worse from one moment to the next; it just bounces a lot more. That is a problem we have had for a very long time. It is quite frustrating because I have obviously been pointing this out for a few years now.

“Not much is happening at the moment, so that is something we really need to investigate. We are just losing a lot of time on that.

“And especially on circuits like this, where it is of course very bumpy and where you have to drive over the kerbs a lot, that just really hinders me from driving closer to the limit.

“Every lap it feels different again, because it springs or bounces in a slightly different way. And because of that, you just can’t drive at the limit.”

Max Verstappen declares intention to stay with Red Bull, but wants to see improvement

Earlier today, we learned that Verstappen wants to stay with Red Bull long-term, even though he is in no rush to sign a long-term deal.

But if he is going to commit to Red Bull for years to come, Verstappen is going to demand that the team make some big changes this season and in the years to come.

Everyone at Red Bull has praised Verstappen for the work he does behind the scenes. It is only fair for Verstappen to expect the same work ethic from the team when it comes to developing the car.

Verstappen himself admitted that Red Bull’s current issues will take a lot more time to fix, but it is important that they work as fast as possible to get the car to a competitive level.
