Lewis Hamilton will move to Ferrari for the 2025 season after agreeing to join the team and partner Charles Leclerc.
The switch will mark the beginning of a significant step in the seven-time world champion’s career after driving for Mercedes since 2013.
After taking six titles for the German team, the results have since stagnated and Hamilton has taken just two victories since 2022.
Ferrari have overtaken Mercedes this season and are in contention for the Constructors’ Championship, battling McLaren and Red Bull.
Hamilton has suffered a difficult run of form since the summer break this year, failing to stand on the podium after winning the Belgian Grand Prix.
Karun Chandhok told the Sky Sports F1 Podcast he is eagerly anticipating Hamilton’s move to Ferrari and is hoping to see one thing in particular from the British driver in 2025.
Karun Chandhok is looking forward to seeing whether Lewis Hamilton can ‘rediscover his mojo’ at Ferrari

Hamilton’s move to Ferrari could be the perfect step to reignite his career after three years of being unable to consistently challenge for race victories.
The Italian team have improved and won on a variety of tracks, such as Monaco and at the United States Grand Prix on pure pace.
This should give Hamilton confidence as he looks for more race wins and his eighth world championship, moving him ahead of Michael Schumacher.
He has struggled slightly in qualifying this year and has been consistently out-qualified by his teammate George Russell.
Chandhok explained that Ferrari have looked convincing in recent races and a better prospect for Hamilton than Mercedes.
He said: “I’ll tell you what I am excited about is to see if Lewis Hamilton rediscovers his mojo a bit when he goes to Ferrari.
“Because Ferrari do seem to be in a better place than Mercedes at the moment. In a recent run of form, you’d have to say that.

“Rewinding the clock to around the summer break, you would say probably not, because Mercedes just before the summer break looked like they were the ones on the up there with those three wins in a row. But in recent run, it looks like Ferrari found the upper hand.”
Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will be a formidable partnership
Hamilton is leaving Mercedes and joining Ferrari to drive for the first team in his F1 career based outside of England.
He will have the significant challenge of battling Leclerc as a teammate who has cut out a lot of errors in his driving and become very fast in qualifying.
The two drivers should be able to lead Ferrari forward as the Italian team looks for their first drivers’ title since 2007 with Kimi Raikkonen.
Leclerc has built the team around him since joining in 2019 and Hamilton will have to adapt to a very different culture next year.
