The Belgian Grand Prix produced another fascinating race for Formula 1 fans ahead of the much-needed summer break.
All ten teams now have four weeks to recharge their batteries and prepare for the final 10 Grand Prix with nothing settled at this stage.
However, it may be inaccurate to suggest that all 20 drivers currently on the grid will be preparing to race at Zandvoort at the end of August.
Ted Kravitz questioned whether Logan Sargeant took part in his last qualifying session at the Belgian Grand Prix.
The American driver had another disappointing race and was nowhere near scoring his first point of the season or finishing ahead of teammate Alex Albon.
Posting on his Instagram story after the race, Jacques Villeneuve shared his thoughts on the action at Spa.
The former F1 world champion has never been shy to share his opinions and Daniel Ricciardo has felt Villeneuve’s wrath during this campaign.
During the race at Spa, it was Red Bull driver Sergio Perez who failed to impress Villeneuve with his display.
Perez is under serious pressure to save his Red Bull seat and the team’s hierarchy was watching closely to see how he fared after his best qualifying performance in months.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t capitalise on his front-row start and ended up finishing behind Max Verstappen despite starting nine places ahead of his teammate.

Jacques Villeneuve provides ‘extremely disappointing’ Sergio Perez verdict after Spa
Reflecting on the race, Villeneuve said: “Well, not an exciting race but a surprising one!
“Disappointing for Red Bull, Max didn’t get up through the field and Perez starting on the front row, finishing 8th, extremely disappointing, not a good day.

“Impressive Mercedes, they caught the strategies and Russell, incredible. He’s the only one who really read the race track.
“He said it was getting grippier, he had the oldest tyres on the track and he went for the one-stop, he told the team to do it and he managed to make it work.”

Christian Horner and Helmut Marko left wanting more from Sergio Perez at Spa
Sergio Perez will know that he didn’t put in a strong enough performance in Belgium considering where he started and the pace of the Red Bull car.
There are two key people within the Red Bull set-up that Perez knows he has to impress: Christian Horner and Helmut Marko.
Horner gave his verdict on Perez’s performance immediately after the race knowing he needed to do more to protect Red Bull’s Constructors’ Championship lead.
Perez received a much more stark assessment from Marko who never shies away from saying exactly what he thinks to the media after a Grand Prix.
Red Bull are set to meet to discuss Perez’s future at the beginning of the summer break but that won’t be an easy conversation.
They have several options at their disposal that include keeping Perez in his seat until the end of the season.
The Mexican may also be saved by the fact that Horner and Marko disagree on who should replace Perez if they decide he needs to move on.
Although the summer break has just started, Perez now has four weeks to reflect on a performance where many onlookers will agree with Villeneuve that he has given Red Bull even more questions to answer.
