The Formula 1 summer break is fast approaching and for several drivers, it could spell the end of their time on the grid.

All eyes are on Red Bull as they have to find a solution for their two driver pairings for the rest of the season and 2025 and beyond.

Sergio Perez is under immense pressure but has put his car on the front row of the grid for the Belgian Grand Prix.

If he can hold that position or even go one better and overtake Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, it would make Monday’s meeting with senior Red Bull staff much easier for Perez as they enter negotiations over his immediate future.

Daniel Ricciardo’s future is also being called into question as the only driver in the Red Bull quartet without a contract for 2025.

Liam Lawson’s agreement requires him to have a seat next year otherwise he can leave for nothing and explore other options on the grid.

Speaking on Ted’s Notebook, Sky Sports reporter Ted Kravitz admitted he was worried about another driver on the grid.

Williams have had a really tough campaign and all four of their points have come courtesy of Alex Albon with Logan Sargeant yet to get off the mark.

Sargeant hasn’t always had the same car as Albon but Kravitz has now questioned whether he might have just taken part in his final F1 qualifying session.

Team principal James Vowles hasn’t been shy when talking about potentially replacing Sargeant.

The American youngster is remaining defiant given his form has improved in recent races.

Ted Kravitz questions if Belgian GP was Logan Sargeant’s final F1 qualifying session

It was a tough qualifying session for Sargeant who only finished ahead of Zhou Guanyu in Q1 but will line up in front of Yuki Tsunoda after his 60-place grid penalty.

Meanwhile, Albon only missed out on reaching Q3 by three-thousandths of a second, highlighting the gap between the two drivers.

Reflecting on the situation, Kravitz said: “As for Logan Sargeant, outpaced again by Alex Albon his team leader.

“You’ve got to ask yourself whether that was Logan Sargeant’s last qualifying session in Formula 1.

“Will he be replaced over the summer? If he will, [it’s] tough for Logan but this is a tough business and he’s not producing what James Vowles wanted him to produce.

“Who will he be replaced by? Kimi Antonelli, maybe, Esteban Ocon, there’s another rumour, I don’t know who else would do as good as or a better job than Logan Sargeant.

“I don’t know, it seems pretty tough on him but it might have been his last qualifying in F1, hopefully it isn’t but that is one of the rumours out there.”

Williams may have already lined up Logan Sargeant’s replacement for 2025

It’s yet to be seen whether Sargeant will be replaced by Williams during the summer break because as Kravitz suggests, there isn’t an obvious candidate to jump into his seat that could immediately do a better job.

Ocon replacing Sargeant appears very unlikely with Alpine having no reason to let him leave unless they want to give Jack Doohan a run in the car before making a call on their lineup for next year.

However, Sargeant’s chances of staying on the grid beyond the end of his year look almost non-existent.

Carlos Sainz looks set to sign a deal with Williams that would see him spend the 2025 season with Vowles’s team.

He’s an immediate upgrade on Sargeant who will be rueing not being able to score his first point of the year at Silverstone when he came home in a frustrating 11th place.
