This week, Red Bull have made all the headlines in the Formula 1 world after it was confirmed that Lambiase will join McLaren in 2028.
Lambiase is set to become McLaren’s Chief Racing Engineer, and Andrea Stella will stay as team principal despite links to Ferrari.

Red Bull crisis deepens as Ferrari ‘target’ move for senior figure
Looking ahead, it has been claimed that Ferrari are now targeting a move for a Red Bull senior figure.
As claimed by Planet F1, there have been indications that Red Bull could lose more members of their team in the coming weeks and months.
The report stated that paddock ‘whispers’ have linked Pierre Wache with a move to Ferrari.
It has been suggested that a move to the Scuderia could act as a ‘safety net’ for Wache if he is made the ‘scapegoat’ for Red Bull’s current woes.

Will Max Verstappen keep his word as Gianperio Lambiase leaves Red Bull?
Who is Pierre Wache and what is his role at Red Bull?
Wache, 51, is currently the technical director at Red Bull, having first joined the team back in 2013 as chief engineer.
Following Adrian Newey’s departure in 2025, Wache has been responsible for the design and production of Red Bull’s RB21 and RB22.
However, it has been previously reported that Max Verstappen does not fully trust Wache, having publicly called out the RB21’s performance during the 2025 season.
While Wache’s future remains uncertain, the Frenchman has previously been linked with a move to Ferrari.
Back in 2024, it was reported that Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur wanted a reunion with Wache. The pair worked together at Sauber before the latter’s move to Red Bull.
At the time, the F1 paddock believed Wache would swap Red Bull for Ferrari, but a move never materialised, and he stayed put to work under Newey before taking sole charge of technical matters.
