Ferrari have become the latest F1 team to launch their challenger for the upcoming campaign this morning. At a packed event at the Scuderia’s Fiorano test track, fans were treated to a first look at the SF-26.
Following the disappointment of yet another winless season for Ferrari last year, the Maranello-based outfit are under immense pressure to end the longest title drought of their illustrious history in Formula 1 this season.
Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton have been given the mammoth task, and the stakes may be even higher for them to perform, given the current sentiment that their Ferrari futures depend on it.
We will see the new crop of F1 cars in action next week in Barcelona, with coverage of the week-long shakedown being broadcast despite it previously being suggested that it would take place behind closed doors.

The Tifosi see shades of Kimi Raikkonen’s SF16-H in Ferrari’s new SF-26 for the upcoming F1 season
Following the reveal of the Ferrari SF-26, F1 fans quickly took to social media to discuss the Scuderia’s new look.
The overwhelming sentiment was the similarities between the livery of Ferrari’s challenger for the 2016 F1 season, and the new paint job that will adorn their car for the sport’s new era of regulations.
One fan replied to the Prancing Horse’s reveal on X (formerly Twitter), saying,” Welcome back SF16-H,” while another commented, “2016 vibes.”
Fans were reported to have camped outside the iconic outfit’s Fiorano test track since dawn, with one X user highlighting their disappointment, saying, “We really hyped up that Ferrari livery just for it to be a 2016.2.”
Another created a fairly catchy tagline, posting, “2026 is the new 2016 – or so at least that’s what is suggested by the throwback livery of Ferrari.”
One of the key assumptions that some fans made over the similarities between the 2016 livery and Ferrari’s most recent one was the poor performance that came with the SF16.
A long-time member of the Tifosi said, “Back in the day, in 2016, it was said the more white a Ferrari has, the worse it was performance-wise.”
Despite the winless season that ensued that year, one fan shared a quote of the great Enzo Ferrari’s, commenting, “Back to the 2016 livery… really not a success! A Ferrari is red, but as Enzo used to say, if it goes fast, we’ll find it beautiful.”

Lewis Hamilton shares his thoughts on the new F1 season during Ferrari’s 2026 launch event
Hamilton’s performances will most likely be in the spotlight the most during the upcoming campaign, given the struggles he faced during his maiden season in red and the question marks that remain over his future.
As well as the multitude of changes that he will be feeling in the cockpit of his new F1 car, Hamilton will also have a new race engineer in his ear during Grand Prix weekends.
The seven-time world champion said, “The 2026 season represents a huge challenge for everyone, probably the biggest regulation change I have experienced in my career.
“When a new era begins, everything revolves around development, growth as a team, and moving forward in the same direction.
“As a driver, being involved from the very start in the development of such a different car has been a particularly fascinating challenge, working closely with the engineers to help define a clear direction for it.
“It will be an extremely important year from a technical perspective, with the driver playing a central role in energy management, understanding the new systems and contributing to the car’s development.
“It is a challenge we face together as a team, supported by the extraordinary passion of Ferrari’s tifosi, which means so much to all of us.”
