Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen knows exactly what he needs to do over the next six race weekends to win his fourth Formula 1 world championship.
Max Verstappen may not have won any of the last eight Grand Prix, but his lead over closest title challenger Lando Norris still stands at 52 points.
Norris is going to have to drive perfectly to overturn that deficit and will need teammate Oscar Piastri to help him out on occasion as well.
In fact, Norris has been told that Ferrari may also need to do him a favour if he’s going to stop Verstappen match Sebastian Vettel’s record of consecutive championships won for Red Bull.

However, while Verstappen will be ecstatic if he manages to win, larger questions may remain about whether Red Bull is the team that are best placed to help him continue his dominance.
Eddie Jordan was speaking on the Formula For Success Podcast about Verstappen’s future beyond this season at Red Bull.
Mercedes have not hidden their desire to sign Verstappen in the future and saw him as an alternative to Kimi Antonelli to replace Lewis Hamilton next season.
Aston Martin are also very keen on hiring Verstappen, and after poaching Adrian Newey as well as exclusively secure Honda power units from 2026, they’re suddenly a much more enticing prospect for the Dutchman.
Eddie Jordan tells Red Bull what they must do to avoid losing Max Verstappen in 2026
Speaking about the 27-year-old’s chance this season, Jordan said: “I still think that Max can win this championship. I’m absolutely convinced.
“But if they haven’t found that tiny little mojo, that for sure has disappeared temporarily, I hope for them. Red Bull have to find that.

“This is simple because it’s playing with Max’s head.

“Is Max going to stay there until 2026, 2027? I don’t know the answer to that.
“But if you’re looking to make sure that he will, then you better find this little issue.
“I would say Max needs to win the championship this year, 2024, to ensure that he’s still there in 2027.”
Eddie Jordan explains what Max Verstappen must demand of Red Bull this season
The issues Red Bull have faced this season appear to have started last year but been overlooked due to how dominant Verstappen was throughout the campaign.
Sergio Perez was struggling and received an apology this season when Red Bull discovered that many of his complaints were legitimate.
Verstappen was making changes to his car without Red Bull’s factory knowing at one point in the year as he searched for answers about what was going wrong.
That didn’t pay off, however, with Norris showing at Zandvoort and on the streets of Singapore that his McLaren is far superior to the RB20.
Jordan has told Verstappen what he must demand of his Red Bull engineers between now and the end of the season to return to the front of the pack.
All eyes are on the upgrades Red Bull are set to bring to the United States Grand Prix and whether they can close the gap to McLaren.
If they can’t then Verstappen’s short-term ambitions and long-term future will be in doubt.
