F1 Oversteer looks at the head-to-head teammate battles of the 2024 Formula 1 grid from a driver’s points, wins and podiums to Grand Prix, qualifying and Sprint results.
This term sees Formula 1 embark on a record 24-round calendar, featuring six Sprint events. F1 will also race in 21 countries spread over five continents with two visits to Italy and three to America. This year also marks the 75th edition of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
History even unfolded before a wheel turned in anger as Formula 1 started the 2024 season with the same grid which ended the 2023 campaign. Never before had every team retained the same line-up over the winter. Williams were the last team to confirm their 2024 line-up.

Williams gave Logan Sargeant a contract for the 2024 season despite the American losing all head-to-head battles with Alex Albon comprehensively in 2023. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native lost 22-0 in qualifying, 19-3 in Grand Prix and 6-0 in each Sprint session during 2023.
Albon was the only Formula 1 driver to boast a perfect 22-0 record in his qualifying head-to-head with his teammate in 2023. Max Verstappen beat his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, 20-2 in their qualifying head-to-head. He also won their Grand Prix results competition 20-2.
Verstappen registered the most dominant record of any Formula 1 driver in their Grand Prix results head-to-head in 2023. He also outscored Perez on 575 points to 285. So, with that in mind, F1 Oversteer looks at the head-to-head teammate battles of the 2024 Formula 1 field.

Red Bull opted to drop Ricciardo from the RB line-up at least for the rest of the 2024 season to judge how Liam Lawson would perform beside Tsunoda. He had often struggled to better the Japanese gem through the year, so Red Bull turned their attention to the 2025 grid early.
