Daniel Ricciardo has been in Formula 1 for 13 years, and it looks as though the Singapore Grand Prix may have been his last race for now.
His last dance involved doing a favour for former Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen, snatching the fastest lap from Lando Norris and the point that comes with it away from the Brit.
Liam Lawson has been waiting in the wings for a full-time opportunity since filling in at AlphaTauri for the Aussie last year, and it looks as though that chance may come soon.
Anthony Davidson believes the Kiwi has been promised a drive, and word in the paddock suggests that it could arrive as soon as the United States Grand Prix.

Guests form guard of honour for Daniel Ricciardo
Ricciardo knew that there was the possibility of a Red Bull drive when he returned to Formula 1 at the Hungarian Grand Prix last year.
But his performances were too inconsistent and he has failed to fully recapture his old form on a regular basis for the sister team.
With the strength of the youth in Formula 1 currently, it’s difficult to make a case for a struggling Ricciardo to remain in the sport.

In a social media post on X (formerly known as Twitter) by F1 journalist Nate Saunders, guests in the paddock could be seen giving Ricciardo a guard of honour.
Where next for Ricciardo and his racing career?
It feels as if there is a sort of generational transformation going on within Formula 1 currently, with the youth making its way in.
It means that if Singapore is to be his final race for VCARB, then it likely spells the end of Ricciardo’s career.
There’s definitely a place for him in the paddock though, with plenty of experience to utilise in an advisory role or as a pundit if he chooses.

If he wants to keep racing, then it won’t be in IndyCar as he refused the option of that and stated that it still ‘scares’ him.
In Europe, there could be an opportunity to do Le Mans if he is interested, with a few World Endurance Championships teams like Porsche and Toyota having adopted the likes of Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel in their cars before.
