Democratic Party candidate for US President, Kamala Harris, has revealed that she watches Formula 1 and has a favourite driver.
The Presidential elections take place on 5th November this year and campaigning is reaching the latter stages between the two candidates from the main parties, Democrats and the Republicans.
Former President Donald Trump was seen at this years Miami Grand Prix as a guest of the promoter and even ended up visiting the McLaren garage as a guest.
Trump is looking to be relelected for a second term after being voted out at the end of the 2020 elections, while Harris could be the first female president as she looks to secure a second successive term for the Democrats after Joe Biden pulled out in June.
Speaking on Sirus XM, Harris revealed that her family watches F1 and revealed her favourite driver out of the field.

Harris is currently taking on several media apperences as the US Presidential campaigns reach their final few months.
Speaking to Howard Stern on Sirus XM, Harris was asked if she enjoys watching F1: “We love it [F1]. Our whole family does.

“I haven’t been able to watch it a lot recently because I am campaigning. Also, depending on where they’re driving, the time of day, you’ve got to wake up [early].”
When asked who her favourite driver is, Harris said: “Lewis Hamilton. He’s leaving Mercedes.”

Lando Norris took his first victory in F1 at the Miami GP and was congratulated by former president Trump in parc ferme after the race.
Speaking to him, Norris said Trump was his ‘lucky charm’ because it was his first victory and the Briton said he respects him due to how busy his life can be as a former president.

Trump was present at the race because there was a campaign fundraiser planned around the Miami GP before it was blocked by the race organisers.
A friend of Trump reportedly planned to hold the fundraiser in F1’s primary hospitality, the Paddock Club, and was charging $250,000 per-ticket.
