Journalist Ted Kravitz has shared the latest information he’s heard about AlphaTauri’s new name in 2024.
Kravitz was reporting during the final practice session of the season in Abu Dhabi for Sky Sports F1.
There’s not going to be a huge amount of change on the Formula 1 grid in 2024.
Unless Williams make a late change and don’t offer Logan Sargeant a new contract, all 20 drivers will retain their spots on the grid.
There are three teams who will be changing names going into next year though.
Alfa Romeo leave the grid after Abu Dhabi with Sauber continuing as a team but under a new name.
They become Audi’s works team in 2026 but it doesn’t look like that deal is being brought forward.
Aston Martin are also dropping the Cognizant part of their official name, although it’s not how most fans refer to them.
AlphaTauri will also have a new look in 2024 and Ted Kravitz has shared the latest he’s heard on that.

Team principal Franz Tost is also moving on, but Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda will be continuing with Red Bull’s sister team.
It seems as though the connection between the two manufacturers will be growing next year.
Kravitz shares what he’s heard about AlphaTauri’s new name for 2024
Speaking about the Italian outfit, Kravitz said: “Not only one, apparently there are two sponsor team names. The more eccentric amongst us in Formula 1 still call Sauber ‘Sauber’, not me I call them Alfa Romeo constantly!
“Apparently, it’s going to be Sponsor A Racing Bulls Sponsor B, they’ve got a couple of American sponsors so says Peter Bayer the incoming team principal taking over from Franz Tost.
“He said ahead of this race that they’ve got these two American sponsors who have already been lodged with the FIA in terms of their name for next year and wouldn’t deny that it’s something around Red Bulls.”
If what Kravitz says is true, then AlphaTauri will likely just be known as ‘Racing Bulls’ going into 2024.
He also said that there’s a good chance their permanent livery is going to be similar to what we saw in Las Vegas.
All that will matter to Tsunoda and Ricciardo is how quick the car is, with both drivers potentially keeping an eye on Sergio Perez’s future at Red Bull too.
