A decision regarding Yuki Tsunoda’s future at Red Bull is imminent, and F1 Oversteer users have had their say on who they think should partner Max Verstappen at the Austrian constructor next season.

The final three seats on the 2026 Formula 1 grid are up to the discretion of Red Bull, with Max Verstappen’s teammate and the two Racing Bulls seats yet to be decided.

Isack Hadjar’s impressive performances have netted him the frontrunning spot, but Liam Lawson is still in with a shout, and so is Yuki Tsunoda.

Guenther Steiner is convinced that Hadjar will take the reins, but an official decision remains to be announced, and F1 fans have had their say on who should be the next man to test their skills up against one of the best drivers ever.

F1 fans agree that Isack Hadjar should race alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull next season

In a Facebook post run by F1 Oversteer, users were asked to vote for who they think will partner Verstappen at Red Bull next season, and why they have opted for one of the three candidates on offer.

Hadjar was the resounding winner, securing over 56% of the votes with over 3,300 reactions in favour of the current Racing Bulls driver, at the time of publication.

In the comments section, fans made it clear as to why the young Frenchman should be the man to race alongside the four-time world champion upon the debut of F1’s new 2026 regulations.

One fan commented, “Even as a Kiwi, if I wanted to win, I’d put Hadjar in; he has consistently been quicker than the others.”

“Most of the circuits are new for him and, after three laps, he’s competitive. I followed Michael Schumacher very closely, and also Senna. They all had it.”

The sentiment of Lawson and Tsunoda not having what it takes to emulate Verstappen was echoed in another user’s comments, who wrote, “Out of those three, it’d be Hadjar. Lawson is on par with Stroll, and Yuki just doesn’t have what it takes to be competitive.”

One fan believes there isn’t a discussion to be had, and that the Frenchman should be the only candidate up for the job, writing, “Hadjar without question.”

Some fans offered their verdict on what the Racing Bulls line-up would look like if Hadjar were to get the call-up, and it doesn’t bode well for Tsunoda.

One fan wrote, “100% Hadjar. At Racing Bulls: Lawson and Lindblad, Tsunoda out,” whilst another fan offered a similar opinion with, “Hadjar to Red Bull, Liam stays with RB.”

Another user shared their opinion on the matter, writing, “Let Hadjar have his shot with Max, and have Lawson move into the senior driver role for the Racing Bulls team.”

Red Bull will announce their 2026 F1 driver line-up ‘immediately’ after the Qatar Grand Prix

As the season has ensued, Red Bull have repeatedly pushed back the decision on the driver to fill their second seat for the 2026 F1 season.

A decision was expected during the summer break, but team principal Laurent Mekies was adamant that he didn’t want to make a premature choice and rescheduled it for after the Mexico City Grand Prix in October.

That date came and went, with no further details on when an announcement would be made at the time.

Fast forward to the most recent round of racing in Las Vegas, and Mekies declared that an official decision would be made ‘immediately’ after the proceedings in Qatar.
