As Red Bull look to turn their fortunes around next season, they want Max Verstappen to commit his future so they can help him going forward.
Red Bull faced huge issues with Verstappen over the weekend in Barcelona. Despite the four-time world champion doing his best, it wasn’t enough for more than a P4 finish.
Another difficult weekend has done very little to quell the speculation surrounding Max Verstappen’s future with Red Bull.

As things stand, Verstappen hasn’t been willing to commit to Red Bull, even though he has expressed his desire to stay with the team in more general terms.
But it appears the reason why Red Bull want their Dutch ace to commit officially is so that they can better serve him in the future.

Red Bull think they can make statement engineer signing if Max Verstappen commits for 2027
According to reporter Jack Martens of Dutch outlet De Limburger, one of the reasons Red Bull want Max Verstappen to commit his future to the team is so they can attract better talent to the team.
This isn’t just limited to drivers, although there is no word on Isack Hadjar’s long-term future with the team as of now.
This line of reporting was echoed further by Erik Van Haren of De Telegraaf, who added that Red Bull are hoping to attract top engineers and staff to the team by using Verstappen’s commitment to convince them of the strong prospect.
On top of that, being able to secure Verstappen’s future will allow Red Bull to convince their investors and financial backers to continue to provide financial support to the team.
It’s clear that a lot of Red Bull’s future relies on Verstappen, which is why they’re trying to convince Verstappen to extend his contract with the team.

Max Verstappen is instrumental to Red Bull’s future success
It’s hard to put into words just how reliant Red Bull are on the Dutch driver, especially considering their recent struggles to deliver a strong car.
Red Bull would be much slower without Verstappen, but his influence on the team goes far beyond the results he helps them achieve.
Given that Verstappen must choose between Audi and Alpine if he were to leave Red Bull next season, he might be better off staying with the team.
The partnership between Red Bull and Verstappen appears to be mutually beneficial for now, unless a better option presents itself for either side.
