Only one driver is currently on a longer run without scoring a point than Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll.
Franco Colapinto is still trying to score his first point in the drivers’ championship since replacing Jack Doohan at Alpine, but otherwise, Lance Stroll is the most out-of-form driver on the grid.
Aston Martin have been concentrating on next season for the majority of this campaign, which has left Stroll and his teammate Fernando Alonso incredibly frustrated.

Adrian Newey is busy developing Aston Martin’s 2026 car, and Honda are preparing their new power unit.

F1 Oversteer understands that Aston Martin are considering their driver options for 2027, with Stroll and Alonso already locked in for next year.
He said: “Aston Martin is also looking for drivers, of course.
“The qualifying performance is zero against infinity, so what else is there to say? I know Aston Martin is very sensitive about this, but it’s simple, yes, it’s a disaster.

“And I’ll say it again, I’m also surprised that Lance, I think it’s hard for him to do that, too. In the race here and there, he can make his mark, but if I’m constantly slower than Fernando Alonso, who is certainly an exceptional talent, but rather at the end of his career, then maybe I should just take off my rose-tinted glasses and face reality.
“To be fair, it has to be said that Lance Stroll is not the biggest problem at Aston Martin at the moment. The car itself is an issue, isn’t it? Where will Lance Stroll finish in the 2026 drivers’ championship?
If Aston Martin want to join the current top-four teams in Formula 1, then they need a world-class driver line-up.
Leclerc would be an immediate step up from Stroll, and even in 2023 when Aston Martin were the best of the rest behind Red Bull, it was only Alonso who managed to finish on the podium.
The Canadian is running out of chances to prove himself, and could be about to put his father Lawrence in a very difficult position.
