McLaren once again dominated the Dutch Grand Prix practice time sheets, with Lando Norris leading from his teammate Oscar Piastri.
Norris has shown a strong performance this weekend, setting the fastest time in all three practice sessions of the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. The Brit narrowly missed the Zandvoort lap record by 0.087 seconds, which was set by Max Verstappen when he took pole in 2021.
FP3 was a difficult session to read, with a damp track impacting the early part of the practice, causing times around two seconds slower than FP2. Many early runs saw intermediate tyres, although drivers were quick to switch back to slicks.
The midfield pack once again looked tight, with Carlos Sainz taking fourth place, ahead of Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. Ferrari’s struggles continued during the session, with both drivers unable to produce a fast lap time from their cars.

Alpine also struggled to put a strong lap time together, with Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto at the bottom of the timing sheet and over two seconds slower than McLaren.
Lance Stroll made his way out onto the track after suffering a nasty crash at Turn 3 during FP2. Aston Martin broke the FIA curfew to repair the car, using one of their two exceptions for the season.
Aston Martin have dropped back in pace today after a strong performance in Friday’s sessions, with Stroll and Fernando Alonso finishing FP1 in third and fourth. The pair finished FP3 in 8th and 10th, running over a second behind the McLaren of Norris.
Alonso and George Russell almost collided coming round the final corner, with the Spaniard appearing to be trying to pick up a tow from Russell on the racing line. The Mercedes driver then made a move towards the pit lane entrance, squeezing the Aston Martin into the wall.
