People who have worked ‘closely’ with Lewis Hamilton have highlighted his role in Ferrari’s resurgence.
Ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season, Hamilton made a high-profile transfer from Mercedes to Ferrari.
At the time, the move was described as a dream pairing between a seven-time world champion and the Scuderia.
However, Hamilton endured a tough season, finishing 86 points behind teammate Charles Leclerc.
So far in 2026, Hamilton has rediscovered his best form, securing his first podium for the team.
Last weekend, Hamilton got his first win for Ferrari as he won the Barcelona Grand Prix while Leclerc suffered another tough race.

According to Italian news outlet Moto. It, Hamilton has played an integral role behind the scenes at Ferrari, which has contributed to his own upturn in form.
It has been suggested that people who have worked ‘closely’ with Hamilton stated he is a ‘demanding’ driver who ‘knows’ what he needs.
In addition, the 41-year-old is ‘not afraid’ to push Ferrari into making decisions as he can ‘afford’ to do so due to his track record.
The report went on to say that Hamilton has led the team towards several ‘weighty decisions’ that resulted in the SF-26 carrying the ‘boldness’ that the seven-time world champion has shown in his career.
It is believed that Ferrari’s SF-26 is ‘powerful’ and ‘lethal’ through the corners, with the power unit being the main issue that is preventing them from being the clear frontrunners.
Looking ahead, Hamilton is currently 41 points behind Antonelli, who was forced to retire from the Barcelona Grand Prix due to a car problem.

Speaking after the race, Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur was full of praise for Hamilton.
The Frenchman labelled Hamilton as ‘outstanding’ and claimed that he is fully committed and convinced.
As reported by F1’s official website, Vasseur said: “Today he was managing the situation very well – as soon as we were adjusting the strategy, he was pushing more or less. He was very outstanding today.
“I think that Lewis’ approach was consistent from the beginning. He is fully committed, fully convinced, and he is pushing everybody. We need to have this kind of energy, and it’s paying off today.
“We also have to stay calm; it’s not like last week we were nowhere, and today we are World Champions. That would be a huge mistake. It means that we need to keep the same approach in Austria as in Barcelona. It’s what we will do.”
