Lewis Hamilton feels energised after a P2 finish at the Monaco Grand Prix, and is ready to compete against Kimi Antonelli for the world championship.
Antonelli managed to win the Monaco Grand Prix, despite all the chaos present during the race. However, one talking point from the race ended up being the solid performance from Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton earned consecutive podiums for the first time in his Ferrari career with yet another P2 finish, thus moving into second place in the championship standings.

While Hamilton admitted Ferrari are behind Mercedes when it comes to the quality of their cars, he still managed to deliver an excellent performance.
But seeing Kimi Antonelli on the podium right next to him has given the Ferrari driver the motivation to chase the Italian in the hunt for a championship.

Lewis Hamilton claims he is ready to ‘fight’ Kimi Antonelli in the championship race
Speaking to ESPN after the Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton admitted that he was beyond thrilled with the result, feeling as though the result had given him what he needed to compete for a championship.
With him now in second place in the championship standings, Hamilton is going to urge his Ferrari team to give him the best chance at competing with Antonelli.
“It’s awesome. And we have a race next week. So, I’m like, come on, it’s game on. Championship’s not over, this is not over.
“And now I’m in a position where I can catch Kimi. And I never thought I would be in this position at this point in the season…
“That’s where I’m going to get my team to be focused on… so that we can continue to be in the fight.”

Lewis Hamilton in the championship mix is good for Formula 1
For the first time since 2021, Hamilton finds himself in second place in the championship standings, a remarkable turnaround given how his Ferrari tenure started.
While Hamilton escaped a second penalty that could have cost him the P2 finish he managed to earn, there is no denying just how well he did.
Even at age 41, Hamilton is thriving, and delivering the type of performances we’ve seen from him during the peak of his career.
And we’ve seen in the past that when Hamilton is performing at the highest level, Formula 1 is at its most exciting. All we can do now is hope that his trend continues.
