Lando Norris has sent Max Verstappen a message after the dramatic events on the podium at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Norris was celebrating achieving back-to-back podiums at the Hungaroring on Sunday.
However, he had to post on Instagram after one of the funnier moments of the F1 season.
After a worrying start to the 2023 season, McLaren have completely turned their campaign around.
A fourth-place finish in Austria for Norris was a sign that Zak Brown’s team had turned a corner.
McLaren then performed admirably at their home race in Silverstone as Norris finished second and Oscar Piastri recorded a career-best fourth.
The Australian was briefly running in second on Sunday after leapfrogging Norris and Lewis Hamilton at the start.

However, it was Norris ended up finishing as runner-up after nailing his pit-stop strategy.
What happened on the podium at the Hungarian Grand Prix between Norris and Verstappen required the Brit to send the race winner a message.
It was an incident he might not want to look back at again too often.
Norris sends Verstappen message after Hungarian GP
While on the podium, Norris was preparing to soak both Red Bull drivers with champagne on a boiling hot day in Budapest.
As he slammed his champagne bottle on the floor, the incredibly intricate trophy presented to Verstappen toppled off the top step of the podium.
The base immediately smashed and other features flew off with Verstappen left to pick up the pieces of his prize as they left the podium.
After the Hungarian GP, Norris sent Verstappen a message on Instagram and simply said: “Sorry. Not sorry.”
Norris is incredibly popular on the grid thanks in part to his fantastic sense of humour.

He and Verstappen are very close friends and although the trophy reportedly took months to create, the Dutchman is unlikely to be too upset.
Bearing in mind he’s won all but two of this season’s races, he’s already got plenty of winner’s trophies sitting at home.
Norris hasn’t won an F1 race yet but appears to be getting closer and closer.
However, Verstappen is simply too quick for anyone to compete with him right now.
