Max Verstappen spun out of the British Grand Prix directly in front of Lando Norris’ grandstand, and it garnered a surprise reaction from the crowd.
Verstappen and Norris went toe-to-toe for the 2025 F1 title, with the latter beating the former by just two points, giving the McLaren driver his first world championship.
Norris beat Verstappen as he did not need to fight his teammate Oscar Piastri in Abu Dhabi. The pair were firm rivals last season, and the Brit and his fans got another one over the Red Bull driver at the British Grand Prix.

‘Landostand’ offered support to Max Verstappen after British Grand Prix DNF
The Dutchman endured a tough weekend at Silverstone as he could not feel comfortable in the RB22. Verstappen lost to Isack Hadjar in the Sprint race after struggling to get through the field.
During the race, Verstappen lamented his car throughout the race. He was constantly complaining about battery deployment, the engine and a lack of grip with the tyres.

He was fighting for P3 with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell when the former eventually got through. A podium might have been on the cards until disaster struck in the closing stages.
Verstappen spun at Stowe and got beached in the gravel trap, forcing him to retire. He was absolutely furious with Red Bull, blasting the car as he got out.
Unfortunately for him, he spun right in front of the ‘Landostand’, but as it turns out, he did not need to worry at all, as videos showed on social media.

Verstappen received a huge amount of support from Norris fans as he got out of his car and walked back to the pit lane. He is usually not the most popular of figures amongst the British crowd, but on this occasion, he got an overwhelming amount of respect.
Norris would go on to finish fourth at Silverstone and is now 21 points ahead of Verstappen. Both drivers seem out of contention for the title at the moment, but it is great to see that any sort of bad blood between the two is squashed, as evidenced by the McLaren driver’s fans.
