There will be a driver change on the Formula 1 grid for the third time this season at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix next weekend.
Williams decided on a permanent solution to Logan Sargeant’s disappointing campaign by bringing in the Argentinian driver for the final nine races of the season.
Ferrari were forced to call upon Oliver Bearman at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix when Carlos Sainz required appendix surgery and the British teenager still sits above race winners Esteban Ocon and Valtteri Bottas in the Drivers’ Championship as a result of his 7th-place finish.
Bearman will return to the Formula 1 paddock again in Baku but this time for his future team Haas.

Kevin Magnussen’s ban comes into effect after he picked up two more penalty points for a collision with Pierre Gasly.
Gasly couldn’t believe Magnussen received a ban as a result of the incident but Haas have decided against appealing the ruling.
A report from Formu1a.uno has shared what will happen in case Ferrari once again need to call upon Bearman at short notice.
It would mean another Formula 1 debut but this time for a more familiar name.
Arthur Leclerc has been lined up as Bearman’s replacement for Haas should he return to his parent team during the race weekend.
Haas will run Arthur Leclerc in Baku if Ferrari recall Oliver Bearman
The report from Formu1a.uno explains how the situation has arisen that Charles Leclerc’s younger brother is suddenly one unavailable driver away from a Formula 1 debut.
With Bearman acting as reserve driver for both Ferrari and Haas, both teams have had to look at their alternative solution for the race in Azerbaijan’s capital.
Haas’s other reserve driver is Pietro Fittipaldi but he’s already committed to a race in IndyCar that weekend.

Ferrari have Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Shwartzman to call upon, but they’re racing in WEC next weekend.
It’s the reason why Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur was unable to immediately confirm that Bearman would be Magnussen’s replacement.

Ferrari retain the option to call upon Bearman as their reserve driver for the weekend should anything happen to Sainz or Charles Leclerc.
If that were to happen, Ferrari development driver Arthur Leclerc would be loaned to Haas for the rest of the weekend.
Arthur Leclerc arrives in Baku with limited racing experience in 2024
The younger Leclerc brother had a similar route to Formula 2 as Charles without ever being quite as dominant.
He claimed 3rd in the ADAC F4 Championship in 2019 before finishing as runner-up to Brazilian talent Gianluca Petecof in FRECA the following year.
Leclerc spent two seasons in Formula 3, finishing 10th and 6th in the Drivers’ Championship before being promoted to F2.
He drove for DAMS last year and speaking after last season’s F2 finale in Abu Dhabi, team owner Charles Pic said of Leclerc’s performance: “Arthur’s Friday was majorly affected by a mechanical failure, which was totally out of our control.
“This meant he was unable to take full part in Free Practice, and made it very tough for him in qualifying.
“Saturday was a frustrating afternoon, we weren’t able to fight for the top places and a mistake at the start line meant that Arthur was forced out of contention for points.
“However, both drivers performed well today. Arthur had a great recovery drive, he made some clinical overtakes to claim an eventual P6.”
Leclerc has raced in European Le Mans on four occasions for Olivier Panis’s team and sits 4th in the championship, while his team currently leads the way in the Italian GT Endurance Championship.
It would be a real test of his skills if he was suddenly called upon by Haas to make his F1 debut next weekend.
