Haas have reportedly reached an agreement in principle to sign a driver on loan for the 2027 Formula 1 campaign.
Currently, Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon are driving for Haas, who are led by team principal Ayao Komatsu.
So far in 2026, Bearman has impressed, scoring 18 points from the opening eight races, putting him in 11th place in the world championship standings.
However, the same can’t be said for teammate Ocon, who has only managed to rack up three points, leaving him trailing in 16th place.
As a result of his performances, Ocon has been linked with a move away from Haas.
The 29-year-old is said to be under mounting pressure to produce better results in the upcoming races in order to keep his F1 career alive.

Haas have ‘letter of intent’ to sign Leonardo Fornaroli on loan for 2027
According to the latest report from The Race, Haas have now reached an agreement in principle to sign a driver on loan.
It has been suggested that if Haas want to sign Leonardo Fornaroli, there is a ‘letter of intent’ in place to make the move possible.
Fornaroli, who won the Formula 2 title in 2025 and the Formula 3 title in 2024, is currently the reserve driver for McLaren.
The report stated that despite there being a ‘letter of intent’, this is ‘by no means a done deal’; it has been claimed that Haas would only be able to sign Fornaroli on loan.
Although Fornaroli is not 100% nailed on to be driving for Haas in 2027, it has been said that he is a ‘very serious contender’ should they decide to part ways with Ocon.
Bearman is yet to be confirmed for 2027, but it is widely expected that the 21-year-old, who is contracted to Ferrari, will again drive for Haas next season.
Aside from Fornaroli, Haas have also been linked with Yuki Tsunoda, who is without a seat after being dropped by Red Bull following the 2025 season.

Last month, Fornaroli drove in FP1 at the Barcelona Grand Prix, replacing world champion Lando Norris.
The young Italian went on to produce an impressive performance, as he finished fifth and was only 0.853 seconds slower than pace setter George Russell.
Speaking following the session, McLaren team principal Andrea Stella heaped praise on the 21-year-old.
As reported by GPBlog, Stella said: “In the future, he may drive for McLaren Racing, but I think we should work together with Leonardo to explore possibilities in Formula 1.
“It was a very deserved opportunity. We have worked with Leonardo for some months now. We have appreciated massively his attitude as a person and as a driver. He’s actually a very interesting character.”
