When Lewis Hamilton finished the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix in third place for Mercedes, the Briton secured his record 200th podium in Formula 1.

It is an impressive stat for the seven-time world champion, who only recently broke his win drought of 945 days and 56 races when Hamilton won the 2024 British Grand Prix.

The combination of Hamilton, Lando Norris and first-time race winner Oscar Piastri in Budapest then yielded the 733rd different trio to stand atop a Formula 1 podium.

So, with that in mind, who has stood on an F1 podium the most times next to Hamilton?

The 10 drivers who have shared a podium with Lewis Hamilton the most

Remarkably, the driver who has stood on the podium the most often with Hamilton in his career is Max Verstappen at 58 times, followed by his former Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas at 48 times.

The driver with the least appearances on a podium with Hamilton is Jenson Button at just five, while Fernando Alonso has also only shared a surprising 12 rostrums.

Elsewhere, despite their dominance through the 2014, 2015, and 2016 seasons with Mercedes, Nico Rosberg only stood on the podium 19 times with his former title rival.

Lewis Hamilton is likely to add to more F1 records

Hamilton broke the record for most wins at a single circuit when he crossed the line in first place at the 2024 British Grand Prix, winning it for a record ninth time.

Only Michael Schumacher comes close to his record, having taken eight French Grand Prix wins at Magny-Cours.

With the news that Hamilton will be heading to Ferrari from the 2025 season, he has secured his future on the F1 grid for several more years.

This could play into Hamilton’s hands as F1’s new regulations are set to come into play in 2026. The series will adopt new engines, new fuels and lighter cars, which could disrupt the pecking order even more upfront.

But, at just 26 years old, Verstappen stands a great chance of breaking some of Hamilton’s records in Formula 1.
