Sergio Perez is looking to secure second place in the drivers’ championship, a first one-two for Red Bull in their history.
Red Bull Racing are targeting a one-two Drivers’ Championship finish this season, their first in the team’s history.
Max Verstappen has already wrapped up the Drivers’ Championship this past weekend, and could’ve also wrapped up the Constructors’ Championship on his own with his 433 points.
Sergio Perez is currently second in the standings but has seen his gap drop week on week after a string of poor results.
Now with just 30 points the gap between Perez and Lewis Hamilton, many have began questioning if Red Bull would strategically give out team orders to ensure Verstappen helps Perez.
But Helmut Marko has insisted this won’t be the case.

Marko says Red Bull won’t give Sergio Perez a boost
When one driver winning is of greater importance and benefit, often teams will invoke team orders to ensure one racer can pick up the points.
Red Bull advisor Marko however has said this won’t be happening between Perez and Verstappen.
Speaking on ORF, he said: “We are not going to give team orders – we’ve seen how that turned out with Max before.”
This in reference to Verstappen refusing to move aside for Perez last season at the São Paulo Grand Prix.
It therefore is likely that in the event Red Bull asked Verstappen to allow Perez to pass, he wouldn’t accept this anyway.
With no favours being done, it seems inevitable Perez is caught, especially with how poor he has been driving recently.
