Sebastian Vettel has spoken about a potential return to F1 and has already had a meeting with the head of the sport.
Vettel was speaking at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, via The Independent.
The German hung up his racing boots in Formula 1 at the end of last year after an incredibly successful career.
He ended his stint in the sport with four Drivers’ Championships and 53 wins, with the majority coming during his time with Red Bull.
Sebastian Vettel also enjoyed stints with Toro Rosso – where he won their first-ever F1 race – BMW Sauber, Ferrari and Aston Martin.

During that time, he became one of the most popular drivers on the grid and increasingly was thinking towards the future.
The 36-year-old was outspoken about environmental and cultural issues and that continues to be a cause close to his heart.
Vettel has now spoken about whether he would return to F1 and has sustainability in mind.
It’s something the sport needs to address as a whole and few people would be better placed to tackle that conundrum that the German.
Vettel speaks about the chances of a return to F1
Asked about whether he would come back to the sport in some capacity, Vettel said: “We’ll see but I have some ideas.
“I’ve been to Monaco earlier this year. I had a very good meeting with Stefano [Domenicali, F1 CEO].
“Other than obviously the cars directly polluting, F1 has a huge responsibility because it’s a very big event. A lot of people attend, I think you had around 500,000 people at the British Grand Prix last weekend.
“So, there’s a lot more to it than just the cars but obviously the cars, everybody sees them. It’s important that it’s headed in the right direction.
“But I’m talking and I have some ideas. Obviously, we’ll see what the future brings. I think sooner or later, I will probably figure it out and take on a new challenge.”

Vettel may not be keen on a return to F1 as a driver, but still keeps up to date on events on the grid.
He has commented on the decision to replace Nyck de Vries with Daniel Ricciardo as the Australian prepares to make his comeback next weekend.
You have to wonder how many drivers the Red Bull group need to get to before they put a phone call into their most successful-ever driver.
