Lewis Hamilton has been sucked into one of his worst-ever runs of Formula 1 form and cannot seem to escape it.
Ferrari haven’t done much to make his life easier with their car, but the seven-time champion has made mistakes of his own.
It wasn’t their fault that he crashed out of the Dutch Grand Prix, but rather a consequence of mounting pressure on his position.
Hamilton looks like a shell of himself currently. He won’t finish any higher than sixth in the drivers’ championship, and might even be looking over his shoulder at the end of the year.
After his crash at Zandvoort, Hamilton faces an ‘uncomfortable conversation’. He normally thrives in tricky conditions, but it was his downfall this past Sunday.
Ferrari haven’t fixed one fundamental problem, which also hurt Charles Leclerc. It’s something they need to find a fix for sooner rather than later, ahead of the Italian Grand Prix.

Ralf Schumacher says Lewis Hamilton faces a ‘tragic’ situation at Ferrari in 2025
Hamilton has been told to copy Lando Norris and his approach to self-criticism, which has been slightly modified recently.
After being plagued by an issue all year long, Ferrari are scrambling to find a ‘solution’ for their drivers. With nine races to go, it’s unlikely to have much of a lasting impact.
But at this stage, Hamilton will take anything that comes his way. Six points in his last three races is not the return he would have expected.
Now ex-Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has weighed in on the situation, insisting that the current predicament the Briton faces is ‘tragic’.
“I’m slowly getting a bit at a loss, because he can do it on the one hand, but he’s apparently under immense pressure, puts himself under pressure,” Schumacher said on Sky Sport DE. “If something doesn’t happen soon, I don’t know how he’s better advised to continue there or whatever.”
“It is tragic at the moment to see him like this. Although the speed is still there, but there’s just too much going on around it.”

Jacques Villeneuve spots something ‘really odd’ happening with Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari
While Hamilton has no answer for one question, he needs to find the answer to others if he wants to remain in the sport for a few more years.
Effectively, the 2026 F1 regulations have now become the now-or-never moment for his career. If he continues to struggle, he might walk away.
Jacques Villeneuve spotted something ‘really odd’ at Ferrari and believes that the 40-year-old pointing out that he needs a reset is a worrying reality.
It’s going to be a very long winter for him and his team to address the many issues they have encountered this year, otherwise, they won’t be in contention next year either.
