Although Formula 1 is heading to Las Vegas for the first time in decades, it won’t be the first visit for Charles Leclerc or Daniel Ricciardo.
On Ferrari’s YouTube channel, Leclerc and his teammate Carlos Sainz were previewing the race in Sin City.
Excitement is building around F1’s return to Nevada for the first time since the 1980s.
The track back then was built in the car park of Caesar’s Palace and was only on the calendar for a couple of years for good reason.
It wasn’t a particularly exciting race and it’s no wonder it was removed from the programme as quickly as it was.
This weekend’s race should be a much more thrilling experience with the race taking in the Las Vegas Strip and racing past the Bellagio’s famous fountains.
While drivers will be fully focused on the race itself, the race will finish in the early hours of Sunday morning local time which will give the winner a good excuse to hit the town.
Charles Leclerc has revealed that he’s already spent time in Las Vegas and bumped into a certain Daniel Ricciardo.

If there’s one driver that you would expect to see enjoying himself in the city, it’s the Australian.
He might not have been expecting to be on the grid at the weekend at the start of the season but now he gets his opportunity with AlphaTauri.
Leclerc recalls Las Vegas trip with Ricciardo
Asked whether he’s been to Las Vegas before, Leclerc said: “I’ve been with Daniel Ricciardo, we partied like crazy. We have a lot of good memories from that.
“But this time won’t be about partying, or maybe the Saturday night! But we’ve got the flight very soon for Abu Dhabi, but I think if we do a one-two I’m pretty sure we’ll take the time to party anyway.”
It’s going to be a far from easy race at the weekend as street circuits give drivers no margin for error.
Grip could be at a minimum due to the temperatures which is a difficult combination when one mistake will see you in the barriers.
Leclerc, Ricciardo and the rest of the Formula 1 grid must be at their best in Las Vegas.
It’s yet to be seen how they’ll celebrate Sunday’s victor, but it’s hard to imagine it won’t be extremely extravagant.
