Ferrari have endured a pretty miserable run of results throughout the summer, by their own high standards – but they may have made up for all of it with two performances.

Charles Leclerc seemed destined for Monaco heartbreak after years of coming oh-so-close to glory around his home streets, but he finally cleared that hurdle this year.
And five years after his first triumph, he has now endeared himself to the Tifosi again after winning a thrilling Italian Grand Prix with a bold one-stop strategy.

“Ferrari rolled the dice,” he said on Sky Sports. “We’re in Monza, look where we are! There was a chance to get that win with a one-stop, so they just rolled the dice beautifully and it just worked amazingly.
“I still have goosebumps just even standing up here. This is just unreal. Imagine you’re Charles Leclerc now, he’s the king of Italy. Mesmerizing.”

Hitting form at the right point in the season is imperative for building momentum and putting their rivals under pressure, who will now be very aware of the Italian outfit’s presence.
