Sky Sports journalist Natalie Pinkham has now shared what she’s heard in the paddock about Logan Sargeant’s future at Williams.
Pinkham was speaking on the F1 Nation Podcast ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix.
All eyes are on the front of the grid with Max Verstappen set to win his third straight driver’s title.
He could do so before Sunday’s race as Qatar hosts the latest F1 Sprint Race.
There’s plenty still to fight for behind Verstappen, with four teams vying to finish as the best of the rest this season.
However, almost every driver can relax slightly knowing their seat on the grid is safe for next season.
The only man still sweating over whether he’ll still be in the sport next year is Logan Sargeant.

Williams have yet to confirm Sargeant’s role in the team for 2024 and Natalie Pinkham has shared what she’s heard about his future.
There are plenty of young drivers trying to break into F1 but opportunities have been hard to come by.
The 22-year-old rookie will be under increasing pressure, especially with Liam Lawson starring for AlphaTauri in place of the injured Daniel Ricciardo.
Pinkham shares latest on Sargeant’s Williams future
Speaking about the American’s status at Williams, Pinkham said: “Talking of having to learn fast, Logan Sargeant has had a tough rookie year at Williams and I want to get your [Pedro De La Rosa’s] thoughts on what he needs to do and how the team need to support him.
“Because what I’m hearing from the inside is they really do want to support him, they really do want to get the best out of him.
“My heart sank when I saw him crash in qualy in Japan. I just thought it must be soul-destroying for him to step out of the car.
“The whole pit lane having to stop with the red flag because of something he’s done and how mentally you overcome those challenges.
“It’s going to be hard for him but hopefully he’s got the support he needs to get there.”

Pinkham suggesting that Sargeant still has the support of the Williams team is very good news for the American.
There are a host of drivers who are pushing hard to take his seat and given how well Alex Albon has performed in that car, he should be off the mark in the Drivers’ Championship by now.
However, Albon’s car has better parts at the moment, in part because Sargeant keeps crashing, making fixing his car more and more expensive.
He’ll be desperate to have a clean race in Lusail this weekend and potentially record his first top-ten finish in Formula 1.
