Sky journalist Natalie Pinkham has been very honest about the weekend Kevin Magnussen had at the British Grand Prix.
Pinkham was featured on the F1 Nation Podcast as they discussed last weekend’s action.
It was another win for Max Verstappen and Red Bull as they extended their lead at the top of both championships.
McLaren registered their first podium of the season with Lando Norris finishing second and could have had two men on the rostrum were it not for the unfortunate timing of the safety car.
Further down the grid, it was a tough weekend for Aston Martin and Ferrari, while a gap is starting to emerge at the back end of the pack.
Haas, Alfa Romeo and AlphaTauri appear to have been left behind by the rest of the grid in terms of pace.

Even Williams, who have been the slowest team on the grid in recent years, have finally developed a car capable of regularly challenging for points.
However, Pinkham has pointed out that the British Grand Prix couldn’t have gone much worse for Kevin Magnussen.
The Dane qualified last on Saturday and only avoided starting 20th because Valtteri Bottas was disqualified.
His race didn’t get much better as his engine blew up on lap 31 to bring out Sunday’s only safety car.
Pinkham sympathises with Magnussen’s shocking British GP
Pinkham was asked if Max Verstappen could win every race between now and the end of the season and said: “We saw some freakish things when he [Max Verstappen] went into the pit wall yesterday in qualifying, these things do happen.
“I know that the Red Bull has been bulletproof to this point in terms of reliability, but you know you are starting to see some DNFs creep in.
“Kevin Magnussen, shocking weekend! So, look, it’s not impossible.”
It shows how bad Magnussen’s time at the British GP was that Pinkham brought it up without even discussing the Haas driver.
It turns out, however, that it could have got even worse for Magnussen.

Further down the pit lane, AlphaTauri decided enough is enough and let Nyck de Vries go just ten races into the season.
It means Daniel Ricciardo will return to Formula 1 after being released by McLaren at the end of last season.
Magnussen will hope Haas can find some extra pace soon, although they tend to start each season strongly and then drop off.
If that’s set to be the case again this year, then they may struggle to score many more points.
