Max Verstappen has picked between winning a fifth Formula 1 title or the 24 Hours of Le Mans amid the growing uncertainty surrounding his future.
Over the last few weeks, Verstappen’s future in F1 has been a major talking point.
The four-time world champion is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the sport’s history, but he has publicly expressed his discontent over F1’s new regulations.
Verstappen has previously compared the new era to playing ‘Mario Kart’ and also labelled the new rules as ‘anti-driving’.
On the back of a dismal Japanese Grand Prix, reports claimed that Verstappen is ‘seriously considering’ walking away from F1 at the end of the current campaign.

Will Max Verstappen choose Formula 1 or Le Mans?
Amid the growing uncertainty surrounding his future, Verstappen was recently asked to pick between winning another F1 world title or the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Speaking to Formule1.NL at an event in Amsterdam, Verstappen replied: “Fifth world title. I feel like I can still win Le Mans when I’m a little older.
“This season, that world title is not going to come. However, you can still participate in Le Mans until you are 45.”
Verstappen was also asked what he would have wanted to be if he weren’t a race car driver.
He said: “I also love MotoGP. When I was little I also raced on those small mini bikes, but I quickly saw that I had more talent on four wheels than on two.
“Maybe I was a steward or something, haha. No don’t think so. No idea, but always something with motorsport.”

Stefano Domenicali reacts to Max Verstappen rumours and criticism
Speaking to Autosport this week, F1 boss Domenicali was asked about Verstappen’s future, and he stated that the 28-year-old was ‘very keen’ to put forward suggestions.
He said: “I think that Max, we have spoken many many times since the beginning. I understand his comment, he understands the bigger picture.
“Even the meeting today where he was very keen to give suggestions, so I don’t want to fall into the trap of trying to create antagonism, that’s not me. It’s not the way we want to see that.
“Always in life, if you are constructive, it’s not a negative rumour against you so we are going to be together. He is the best driver, multiple world champion and of course his voice has to be listened to.
“Also, he knows that his voice has weight and he needs to respect that, and some people can take it the wrong way and this is something we should not allow to happen.”
At the age of just 28, it will be a huge loss for F1 if Verstappen decides to walk away.
Domenicali has a massive job on his hands as he looks to regain the trust of the F1 drivers with these new regulations.
