Fresh off his podium at the Dutch Grand Prix last weekend, Isack Hadjar partnering Max Verstappen at Red Bull in the future is becoming an increasing possibility.
Hadjar was the first driver to stand atop a podium for the sister Red Bull team since Pierre Gasly’s third-place finish at the 2021 Azerbaijan GP when the team were racing under the moniker of Scuderia AlphaTauri.
He has been mightily impressive in his rookie F1 campaign, and currently sits 10th in the drivers’ championship. Despite previously being resistant to a move up to the ranks, Hadjar is now willing to take a risk in a move to Red Bull after his camp was worried about making a change too soon.
The podium has cemented his position in F1 for the foreseeable future, but the same can’t be said for his Racing Bulls teammate, Liam Lawson.
Lawson still needs to fight for his seat in F1 due to his demotion from the Red Bull team after just two races at the helm of the RB21 in the opening stages of the season.

Max Verstappen believes Isack Hadjar’s attitude is ‘exactly’ what you need in a rookie F1 driver
In an interview with L’Equipe ahead of the Italian Grand Prix weekend, Max Verstappen was asked about his opinion on Hadjar and what he thinks about the Frenchman partnering him at Red Bull next season.
“He did an incredible job in Holland,” the four-time world champion told the French journalist. “And I think that he is very focused on his job. He amuses himself a bit also; he finds time to enjoy life, and that is very important when you are a beginner.

“He knows how to live. He feels good in the team where he is; they support him really well, he feels at home, and it is exactly what is needed when you begin.”
When asked if he would be sharing a garage with him in 2026, Verstappen replied, “Each situation is different, but in the end, it is management who decides.
“If they think that he is ready, because I am not involved in the feedback that the engineers give to Red Bull management on his way of being in the team, then I am sure that the team will make a decision.”

Max Verstappen also revealed why he has no problem helping rookie F1 drivers
Gabriel Bortoleto has been very vocal during his rookie F1 season regarding the advice he has received from the Red Bull driver in the past. Bortoleto revealed that Verstappen often shares tips after the pair use sim-racing to get up to speed on tracks that are upcoming.
Verstappen was also asked by L’Equipe if he thinks it is important for the champions in the sport to take care of the younger drivers, such as Bortoleto and Hadjar, to which he responded, “I am quite transparent, I am not there to hide things.

“When they ask me questions, I answer and, of course, some I know a little better than others. What I like is that they are new in this world, they are fresh, they are themselves. To be in F1 was their dream, like mine.
“We get along quite well. It is a bit strange, of course, to see 18-year-olds arriving; it feels like it was only four or five years ago for me, whereas I am already in my eleventh season.”
The Austrian constructor is reportedly waiting until next season to announce the young Frenchman as a partner to Verstappen. Red Bull wants to protect Yuki Tsunoda over the remaining races, hence the apprehension to make a move too quickly.
