It was an exhilarating race in Las Vegas this morning and Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc were at the centre of all the action.
Commentating on the race for Sky Sports F1, David Croft and Martin Brundle were loving the battle between the two drivers.
Formula 1 has had a very familiar feel about it this season.
No matter how exciting or dull each race seems to be, Max Verstappen tends to be standing on the top step of the podium.
It didn’t look like that would be the case for much of today’s race.
Verstappen got the jump on Charles Leclerc into turn one but was eventually penalised for overtaking him off the track.
It didn’t matter though with the Monegasque driver overtaking him again before the first round of pit stops.
Two safety cars later Verstappen, Leclerc and Sergio Perez were soon battling for the top three positions.
While the Dutchman was battling through the grid, Perez and Leclerc were fighting for first place in Las Vegas.

The 33-year-old finally got the better of his rival going into turn 14 but that wasn’t the end of the fight.
It went down to the final lap which is becoming a bit of a habit for Perez at this point.
Perez and Leclerc battles in Las Vegas
As the Mexican driver managed to take the lead of the Grand Prix, David Croft said: “As they come towards turn 14, Perez goes down the inside, kicks up a load of dust, he’s got the inside line, he’s got the overtake, he’s got the lead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix!”
Martin Brundle was similarly impressed and added: “He needs to high tail it before Max Verstappen comes and joins this party if he wants a chance of a glorious victory here in Las Vegas.
“Perez, we welcomed him back, the good old day of Sergio Perez last time out, he was in such good form and he’s continued that this evening despite the dramas of turn one at the beginning of the Grand Prix.
“It was really difficult to know when to break there in the middle and the inside of the track, but he got it spot on.”
In the end, Leclerc got the better of Perez on the final lap of the race in Las Vegas.
He dove down the inside from deep and caught the Mexican napping for the second time in the race to take second place.
Although Perez may be disappointed not to have delivered a one-two today, he’s now confirmed his second-place finish in the Drivers’ Championship.
It’s the first time Red Bull have achieved this despite their recent dominance.
All eyes now turn to Abu Dhabi for the final Grand Prix of the season.
The pressure is off both Perez and Verstappen while Leclerc will be desperate to claim another pole position and finally convert one into a race win.
