Lewis Hamilton has endured a miserable weekend at the Brazilian Grand Prix, coming away from the race with no points.
Hamilton hoped to replicate his hero Ayrton Senna and do the home fans proud in Sao Paulo with a Brazilian flag on his helmet. However, it turned into another nightmare for the Ferrari driver in 2025.
The seven-time champion was knocked out in SQ2 on Friday, lining up for the Sprint in 11th. Hamilton was able to get his SF-25 into the points, but he could only manage seventh, while Charles Leclerc came home fifth.
Things did not improve in qualifying for Sunday, as Hamilton was again knocked out before Q3. He could only put his Ferrari in 13th for the Brazilian Grand Prix, and it got even worse during the race.

Lewis Hamilton calls stewards a ‘complete joke’ in unbroadcast radio after Brazilian Grand Prix penalty
Hamilton dropped to the back of the grid off the start after banging wheels with Carlos Sainz. He lost balance and slipped wide at turn one, leaving him at the back of the field.
Coming down the main straight, he attempted a move on Franco Colapinto. But the Brit hit the back of the Alpine, shattering his front wing and leaving a significant portion wedged under his car.

The safety car was deployed for Gabriel Bortoleto’s crash on the opening lap, allowing Hamilton to pit. But the 40-year-old had sustained floor damage and was left complaining about an unstable rear.
Things got worse for the Ferrari star as the stewards investigated the incident with Colapinto and found him guilty of causing a collision. He was hit with a five-second time penalty, before eventually retiring the car on lap 40.
When race engineer Riccardo Adami informed him of his penalty, Hamilton responded over the radio: “These guys are a joke. A complete joke.” It is the second race in a row where he has suffered the wrath of the stewards, with Hamilton being penalised in Mexico for an incident with Max Verstappen.
