Lewis Hamilton is reportedly ‘firmly convinced’ about when Ferrari will be able to challenge for the Formula 1 world title.
Hamilton, 41, already has seven world championships in his locker, having won the title in 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Prior to the 2025 campaign, Hamilton made a high-profile transfer from Mercedes to Ferrari as he continues his search for a record-breaking eighth world championship.
Following a tough debut season, things are beginning to click for Hamilton at Ferrari as he has produced some impressive performances.
Last month, Hamilton won his first race for Ferrari as he took victory at the Barcelona Grand Prix ahead of George Russell and Lando Norris.
Hamilton is also getting the better of Charles Leclerc, with the Brit currently 46 points ahead of the Monegasque in the 2026 standings.

Lewis Hamilton ‘convinced’ Ferrari can take advantage of engine rule change in 2027
Looking ahead, it has to be said that it seems unlikely that Ferrari will be able to win the world title this year, due to Mercedes’ clear dominance.
However, according to Italian journalist Leo Turrini, Hamilton is now ‘firmly convinced’ that Ferrari will be able to ‘match’ Mercedes’ performance.
It has been suggested that the seven-time world champion believes that the Scuderia can take advantage of the engine rule change in 2027 and mount a challenge for the world title.
The report also stated that Hamilton is ‘convinced’ Ferrari can ‘contend for the world championship next year’.

Speaking ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Hamilton made a promise that he will not stop until he gets there, there being his dream of winning an eighth title.
During Sky Sports F1’s Preview Show, Hamilton was being interviewed in front of the Silverstone crowd.
When fans cheered spectacularly loudly after asked whether they would like to see Hamilton win an eighth title, the Ferrari star responded: “I tell you, I won’t stop til we get there.”
It has been well documented that Ferrari are lacking raw power compared to their main rivals in 2026, something Hamilton has spoken about on multiple occasions.
The 41-year-old has been adamant that if Ferrari had the same power, they would be battling Mercedes for victory every weekend.
Hamilton added: “There’s a lot of races ahead but I’m a realist as well. Mercedes have won pretty much everything, particularly at the beginning, very easily.
“Even when people brought upgrades, they still won and they didn’t bring an upgrade so I think they have plenty in their pocket. But there is also races we will be able to challenge them.
“Whether or not we can compete with them at this current stage, we are pushing really hard to try and close the gap on those straights. If we had the same power as them, we would be battling them every single weekend.”
