One of the only partnerships from the 2025 Formula 1 grid that won’t be carrying over to the upcoming season is Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson at Racing Bulls.

Out of the 10 teams that were on the grid last season, only Red Bull and Racing Bulls will be lining up with new drivers.

Yuki Tsunoda losing his seat at the end of the previous campaign set off a chain reaction in the Red Bull set-up.

Isack Hadjar will be the latest driver tasked with trying to succeed alongside Max Verstappen.

How many podiums and wins will Isack Hadjar achieve in his first season as a Red Bull driver?

His vacant seat has been filled by British teenager Arvid Lindblad, who will start the season as the only rookie on the grid.

Hadjar wasn’t supposed to be teammates with Liam Lawson last year, but his failed spell at Red Bull came to an end after just two race weekends.

The Frenchman has now described the ‘brilliant’ aspect of being Lawson’s teammate that he won’t get to experience with Verstappen this year.

Isack Hadjar reveals ‘brilliant’ relationship with Liam Lawson as Racing Bulls teammates

Hadjar was asked on the Talking Bulls Podcast about the social media activities he had to do with Lawson when they were at Racing Bulls last season.

He was told that the content was ‘dynamite’ and Hadjar said: “I hope so!

“I agree. We’ve been brilliant, alongside our small job.

“I really don’t like the lip syncing. It’s very hard. You need to time yourself like you need to… It’s not my first language as well.

“It’s not always easy. I can tell you about the things I don’t like!

“Doing it with Liam was very funny. Yeah, actually, because at least with both of us doing it.

“It’s always good to suffer with your friend!”

Liam Lawson faces new battle against Arvid Lindblad at Racing Bulls in 2026

Lawson was on the back foot as soon as he arrived back at Racing Bulls for the Japanese Grand Prix.

Although he knew the team well, he hadn’t done any pre-season running in the VCARB 02, and it was only a suspension tweak that helped Lawson extract the maximum out of the car.

Hadjar and Lawson were on a par in the second half of the season, but there was only one obvious candidate for Laurent Mekies when he decided Tsunoda’s time with the team was over.

Lindblad has quickly taken over Hadjar’s role in Racing Bulls’ social media posts, with the team one of the most active outfits online.

It helped both Lawson and Hadjar quickly build up a fanbase, something Lindblad will be keen to do as well given he’s got four other British drivers to compete with for attention.

On track, Lawson is expected to be a leader at Racing Bulls, which considering he won’t take part in his 50th Grand Prix until the Italian Grand Prix is a lot of responsibility.

Lindblad will know that there are a host of Red Bull young drivers after his seat, and the only way he can protect his seat is to challenge Lawson.

For the New Zealander, a return to Red Bull is incredibly unlikely, so a strong 2026 campaign is needed to prove to the rest of the paddock he deserves a faster car.
