Business is booming in Formula 1, with the sport growing at an exponential rate over the last few years.
Every team on the 2025 grid is now valued over $1.6 billion (£1.2bn), showing the impressive growth from last season, when some squads had only just tipped over the $1bn (£790m) mark.
Sportico’s latest report has shown that F1 teams now have an average value of $3.42bn (£2.6bn), which is up 48% from 2024.

With factors like Netflix’s Drive to Survive and an increase in social media presence, Formula 1 has seen soaring profits in the previous ten years.
A record-breaking 24-race calendar was introduced for the 2024 season, which has taken the racing spectacle to several new locations and has made the sport bigger than ever.

Despite signing Lewis Hamilton for this year, Ferrari saw a reduction in their valuation growth, having previously seen an increase of 55.1% between 2023 and 2024.
Ferrari have seen a dip in performance in recent years, with neither Hamilton nor Charles Leclerc taking a race win in 2025. Obviously, the team’s rich history in the sport is what keeps the Prancing Horses at the top of the valuation rankings.

2. Mercedes stays second in the most valuable Formula 1 teams in 2025
- 2025 Mercedes F1 team value: $5.88 billion (£4.46bn)

- 2025 McLaren F1 team value: $4.73 billion (£3.59bn)
- 2024 McLaren F1 team value: $2.65bn (£2.1bn)
Unsurprisingly, McLaren have seen a jump up the Formula 1 valuation rankings after a strong 2025 season, which has resulted in both their drivers battling for this year’s title.
The Woking-based squad took their second consecutive championship victory earlier in the year and the team appear to be going from strength to strength.
McLaren is now valued at $4.73bn (£3.59bn), seeing the highest 1-year increase with an impressive 78% growth compared to 2024.
The team had also seen a significant increase of 77.9% between 2023 and last year, showing that McLaren are dramatically on the up.

The team’s growth have almost halved this year, after previously seeing an increase of 42.1% between 2023 and 2024.
The slow in growth is undoubtedly down to the team’s difficult season, which have seen various moments of turmoil during the year.
Christian Horner was sacked as team principal in July 2025 after a number of key figures left the team, disappointing results and 18-months of internal investigations for sexual harassment, for which he was cleared.

Aston Martin is now valued at $3bn (£2.27bn), an increase of 45% from 2024, which is one of the lower rates of growth on the Formula 1 grid.
It was a significant drop for the team, which saw an increase of 83.9% the previous year, despite having signed iconic car designer Adrian Newey from Red Bull heading into the 2026 regulation changes.

Undoubtedly, the progress for the Grove-based team has come from James Vowles’ impressive leadership, with the team principal working to secure Williams as a mid-team going forward.

7. Alpine see valuation increase despite 2025 struggles

The Enstone-based team are sat at the bottom of this year’s constructors’ title battle with 22 points, which have all been scored by their driver Pierre Gasly.

The Faenza-based team dropped down to eighth in 2024 and has remained in that ranking for this season.
Despite this, the team, which saw a team principal change mid-season when the former boss Laurent Mekies was promoted to Red Bull, have still gone from strength to strength this year, doubling their percentage increase from 2024.
A driver swap early into the season, which saw Liam Lawson demoted back to the team to partner Isack Hadjar, proved the correct decision for Racing Bulls, who are currently sixth in the constructors’ championship.

Haas remains the least valuable Formula 1 team, despite increasing their valuation by over double in 2025, following a brand new driver line-up with Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman.
The American squad saw a 65% increase in valuation, a jump from 43.7% between 2023 and 2024, as it celebrates one of their strongest seasons since joining the grid in 2016.
Last year proved prosperous for Haas, who finally climbed above the $1bn valuation mark, with the team making a significant increase in 2025 as it rapidly approaches $2bn.
