Ferrari had a disastrous 2025 Formula 1 campaign and can finally put it behind them as they focus on a new set of rules.
The Maranello-based outfit will get the fresh start they so badly need next year with the arrival of a new generation of car. They hope that it will propel them back into constructors’ championship contention.
Jobs could be on the line at Ferrari, depending on how they start the 2026 F1 regulations. For too long, they have been too mediocre.
Does Lewis Hamilton deserve some credit for Charles Leclerc’s season?
Patience is running thin, and drivers of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc’s calibre won’t hang around forever. They must find answers soon.
Lando Norris is confident Hamilton can ‘bounce back’, despite failing to reach the podium for the first time in his career this year.
There’s a chance that Red Bull will be on the phone to Leclerc, particularly if Max Verstappen opts for a change of scenery. In 2027, the grid could look completely different.

Fred Vasseur doesn’t want Lewis Hamilton or Charles Leclerc to say Ferrari are doing a ‘good job’ in 2026
Martin Brundle is worried about Hamilton’s future, and fears that damage has been done to his reputation over the last 12 months.
The saving grace he has is that his experience and knowledge should start to show on Ferrari’s car over the next year or so. They’ve had time to implement his feedback (if they listen to it).
Team boss Fred Vasseur has now warned his drivers that he always wants them to be critical of the job the team is doing. The day they tell him all is fine is the day he will be ‘devastated’.
Double Charles Leclerc’s points tally and Ferrari would be second in the constructors’ championship
Do they need to move on from Lewis Hamilton?
“I’d be devastated if the drivers told me we’re doing a good job,” he told the Spanish edition of Motorsport.com. “The summary of the season for a driver is finding where we can improve.
“I’m not there for the drivers to tell me, ‘We’re doing a good job on this and this and this.’ But his DNA and my DNA is about trying to push the team to do a better job.
“That means they have to come to us, Charles and Lewis—when it’s not Lewis, it’s Charles, it’s both of them. They have to come to us and push the team to the limit. Everywhere, in every area, and we can certainly improve, and we can improve everywhere.”

How Ferrari need to do a better job of silencing Lewis Hamilton fears for 2026
With just under 90 days to go until the first round of the 2026 season kicks off in Australia, teams’ preparations will already be nearing completion.
Ferrari aren’t silencing fears that their 2026 engine is behind, and it’s something they need to do a better job of.
The more noise and distractions they have to face at the start of the year, the more pressure that will be on the team to perform.
The Tifosi have been very patient with them over the last few years, but it wouldn’t be a surprise for them to lose the remaining portion of that if they fail to produce a solid car for the coming seasons.
