Cadillac will run their 2026 Formula 1 car for the first time at the shakedown test in Barcelona later this month, and they have unveiled the livery to go with it.

Pre-season testing officially starts for the 11 F1 teams with a shakedown session at the Circuit de Catalunya between January 26-30. It will be closed off to the public and the media.

Audi have already run their 2026 car in Barcelona earlier this month, becoming the first F1 team to do so. Fellow newcomer Cadillac will soon hit the track as well.

The countdown is on — which 2026 challenger are you most excited to see? 👀

The American brand have worked extensively behind the scenes to build their organisation from the ground up. With Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez on board for 2026 and the infrastructure in place at Silverstone, Cadillac have the team they need to compete.

All they need now is a competitive car, and their 2026 challenger will get its first outing in Barcelona. The attention will be on them as a new team, and they have turned even more heads with their first F1 livery.

Formula 1 fans are loving Cadillac’s ‘beautiful’ shakedown livery

Audi used an all-black livery for the shakedown of the R26, and Cadillac have followed suit. The one-off ‘camouflage’ design is used to hide any aerodynamic secrets, with a large Cadillac logo being printed on the rear of the car.

The team have also added a nice touch, as the livery features the names of their founding members from the US and the UK. F1 fans were in awe of the design when they saw pictures posted on Cadillac’s official X account.

One fan commented: “Beautiful livery! Can’t wait to see the final version!” Another was in agreement: “Wow that’s beautiful.”

“Yeah… that definitely turns heads,” said one user. Another added: “That livery looks wild! What inspired the design?”

One fan was truly in awe: “It’s the most beautiful one I have ever seen.” Another felt it was the perfect start to the team’s project: “The journey starts with a bang.”

How will Cadillac perform in their debut F1 season in 2026?

Being a new team on the grid, 2026 may just be a learning year for Cadillac. However, given the regulatory changes and the amount of time the team have had to focus on it compared to others, it possibly puts them at an advantage.

Then again, it is an entirely new team, which will need to get up to speed with the sport. Bottas and Perez’s experience will go a long way in helping their progression.

But Bernie Collins thinks Bottas and Perez could clash at Cadillac due to their differing personalities. The pair have said they have a good relationship, but they cannot afford to cause friction within the camp.

The American outfit will likely spend 2026 towards the rear of the field. Cadillac must avoid falling under the 107% rule and suffering the embarrassment of not qualifying for their first race.
