Isack Hadjar became the latest Formula 1 driver to grab his first podium with a stunning performance at the Dutch Grand Prix.

The Racing Bulls driver recorded his best qualifying result of his F1 career with an incredible P4, lining up behind Max Verstappen and the McLarens. Hadjar displayed brilliant race pace at the Dutch Grand Prix as he fended off attacks from Charles Leclerc and George Russell.

He looked set for fourth, but Lando Norris’ engine failure in the closing stages handed him his maiden podium with a sensational P3. Hadjar’s pre-season prediction has aged brilliantly, having tipped himself to finish in the top three in 2025.

The rookie’s performance has got everyone in the paddock talking about his future prospects. Jolyon Palmer says Hadjar may be a ‘better prospect’ than Liam Lawson with his qualifying pace.

It has been an incredible recovery from the Frenchman, having crashed out of his F1 debut on the formation lap to now sitting in the top 10 of the drivers’ championship. His maiden podium now means only five drivers on the grid are yet to achieve that feat.

F1 fans think Yuki Tsunoda ‘deserves’ his first podium soon after Isack Hadjar’s heroics at the Dutch Grand Prix

Yuki Tsunoda, Lawson, Oliver Bearman, Gabriel Bortoleto and Franco Colapinto are all yet to grab a podium in F1. The last four names are in their rookie seasons, while Tsunoda has yet to stand on the podium since joining the sport in 2020.

F1 shared a post on their official X account (formerly Twitter) asking fans who they felt would be next to grab their maiden podium. They flooded the comments in support of Tsunoda as they hope he will get his first.

“I hope Yuki!”, wrote one fan, while another said: “Absolutely Yuki.” One user shared images of the Red Bull driver as they said: “I’ll always root for him no matter what.”

Another supporter has a feeling that his first podium could be on the way: “Of course it’s Yuki. And it’s coming soon.”

“Yuki deserves one,” said one user, while another echoed those thoughts as they assessed the other names on the list: “Yuki deserves one, Bearman and Lawson have the capacity to get one, Colapinto? Nah.”

Yuki Tsunoda risks being replaced by Isack Hadjar at Red Bull in 2026

Tsunoda is having a miserable season at Red Bull in 2025. Like many of his predecessors, the Japanese driver has struggled to adapt to the second car, with just nine points scored since he replaced Lawson at Suzuka.

His P9 finish at Zandvoort was his first points since Imola. It is a sign of improvement, but he will need to follow it up if he wants any chance of staying on the grid.

His former Racing Bulls teammate is being backed to replace him, with an insider claiming that Red Bull have already decided to sign Hadjar and drop Tsunoda. However, there is a possibility that the Japanese driver could save his seat.

Red Bull’s ‘ideal scenario’ is to keep Tsunoda alongside Verstappen for 2026 as the new regulations come into effect. Hadjar is hesitant about joining Red Bull, having seen several drivers struggle in the second seat.
