Formula 1 fans have had their say on who they think was the driver of the day after Max Verstappen’s victory at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen piled more pressure onto Lando Norris in the hunt for the 2025 Formula 1 drivers’ championship as he benefited from maximum points in the Grand Prix and a double disqualification from McLaren to go just 24 points behind the Brit.

The Dutchman took the lead at the first corner of the race after the championship leader overshot his entry into turn one, and Verstappen went on to take victory in Las Vegas for the second time in his career.

The Red Bull star’s victory dealt a blow to Norris’ title hopes, after the British driver’s fine run of form that saw him stretch out a relatively healthy lead in the F1 standings as the season reached a flash point.

Next up is the Qatar Grand Prix, which serves as the penultimate round of a season that still has a number of questions that are yet to be answered.

Norris could clinch the title in Lusail, but will need to outscore his title rivals by at least two points in order to take the title home with him.
