Former Arrows driver Enrique Bernoldi has now shared his view on three-time champion Max Verstappen.
Bernoldi was speaking about the Dutchman on the Beyond The Grid Podcast.
People are simply running out of superlatives to describe Max Verstappen.
Although he’s been in the fastest car on the grid, the gap he’s opened up over teammate Sergio Perez highlights just how quick he is.
Like many drivers on the grid, he comes from a family of racing drivers, although Enrique Bernoldi didn’t always get on with Max’s father Jos Verstappen.
Although his father did brilliantly to reach Formula 1 and his mother was a karting star too, Max has shown that he’s the most talented driver in the family.
Ever since winning in Barcelona on his debut for Red Bull, everyone on the grid has sensed that he’s a special talent.

At the moment, he looks set to create a dynasty and replicate some of the greatest drivers in Formula 1.
Bernoldi has compared him to some of the very best racers in the sport’s history including one Ayrton Senna.
Bernoldi gives verdict on Max Verstappen
Speaking about the 26-year-old, Bernoldi said: “I think Max [Verstappen] is only 25 and he has achieved so much, I think he has passed [Aryton] Senna for wins already.
“So, surely Max will stand up there with the greats of all time. I think he’s up there with Lewis [Hamilton], with Senna, with Michael [Schumacher], he’s really, really fast now.
“Also what I like most about him is his mindset of domination against his opponents.
“It’s like they go to try to block him or try to pass him and it feels like they know in their heads that they’re going to lose.
“The way he just breaks so late and gets the guy, and the guy can’t do anything because he’s coming from such a long way back.
“He did that many times, he did that when he won the championship for the first time, he did that to many, many drivers and then I think his mindset of domination is really, really impressive.”
Bernoldi comparing Max Verstappen to the likes of Senna, Hamilton and Schumacher is no surprise at this rate.
The likes of Mercedes, McLaren and Ferrari need to find even more pace in 2024 to try and challenge Red Bull next year.
If they can’t, then Verstappen will be a shoo-in to earn his fourth consecutive title.
Verstappen has already added his name to the list of the sport’s greatest-ever drivers.
He’s still got a long way to go before he matches Schumacher and Hamilton’s achievements in the sport.
