Charles Leclerc is now on the cusp of winning almost every aspect of his head-to-head Ferrari battle with Lewis Hamilton, with three rounds of the 2025 F1 season remaining.
The only aspect of his head-to-head battle with Hamilton that Leclerc cannot win this year is in terms of their F1 Sprint results. But Leclerc has already won their head-to-head for Grand Prix race and qualifying results, and is just 18 points short of also winning their points battle.
Leclerc has scored 214 points through the first 21 rounds of this year’s scheduled 24 to rank fifth in the F1 drivers’ championship. Hamilton sits sixth in the standings on 148 points, with a maximum of 83 points available across the final three Grands Prix and one Sprint of 2025.
While Hamilton won the F1 Sprint in China back in round two this March, Leclerc has sealed all seven of Ferrari’s Grand Prix podiums to date in 2025. Also, Leclerc’s pole position for the Hungarian GP remains Ferrari’s only pole thus far, yet Hamilton did take Sprint pole in China.

Charles Leclerc is Ferrari’s ‘only’ positive from 2025 after destroying Lewis Hamilton
Davide Valsecchi believes Leclerc has “destroyed” Hamilton by totally dominating the Briton since he joined Ferrari for the 2025 F1 season. The seven-time drivers’ champion moved to Maranello striving to get his career back on track, but he is seldom at one driving the SF-25.

Leclerc has also shown Valsecchi that he is the “only” real positive that Ferrari can take from a campaign during which they have always had to look for solutions upon arriving at circuits. The Monegasque is also producing the consistency that Valsecchi previously felt he lacked.
Valsecchi told Fanpage: “I’m a little worried. It seems to me that the only truly positive thing about Ferrari this year is Leclerc. I always thought he lacked consistency to be at the top but, today, the only thing that’s rock solid is him, almost always ahead of his teammate.
“Sportingly speaking, [Leclerc] destroyed [Hamilton] in qualifying and in the race, and his teammate has won seven world championships. The only solid thing about the project is the young driver they have.”
Charles Leclerc has dominated Lewis Hamilton in nearly every way since he joined Ferrari
Hamilton joined Ferrari hoping that the team who finished second to McLaren by 14 points for the 2024 F1 constructors’ championship would allow him to battle for a record-breaking eighth drivers’ title after enduring endless struggles with Mercedes in the ground-effect era.

But Hamilton’s problems in the ground-effect era have remained, and questions are growing about whether the Briton has a long-term future in Maranello. Hamilton is under contract at Ferrari through the 2026 season but may elect to walk away once his deal expires next year.
Ferrari have seen Leclerc have Hamilton’s number at nearly every turn since the Stevenage-born star switched the Silver Arrows for the Scuderia. Leclerc’s worst qualifying result so far this term remains his P11 at Imola, while Hamilton qualified P16 for the Belgian Grand Prix.
The Emilia Romagna GP in round seven even remains the only Grand Prix qualifying session so far this season where Leclerc has failed to advance to Q3. Hamilton failed to reach Q3 for the sixth time in 2025 in Brazil, after qualifying P13 for the Sao Paulo GP for his fifth Q2 exit.
