The 2025 Formula 1 season is still 10 race weekends and eight months away but already excitement is building.
It will be the final year of the current regulations and at least four teams – including Ferrari – will feel they have a chance of winning both championships.
Team principal Frederic Vasseur is building an extremely strong team at their base in Maranello with one marquee signing.

After winning six world championships with Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton decided to take the plunge and make the move to potentially end his Formula 1 career with the sport’s most iconic team.
Hamilton had been linked with Ferrari throughout his time in F1 and in 2025 will finally start racing for the historic team as they chase their first title since 2008.
Charles Leclerc is the driver Hamilton will be joining next year and the Monegasque spoke to the Beyond The Grid Podcast about their future link-up.
Hamilton is expected to have a positive impact on Ferrari and it’ll be interesting to see where his new team stand at the beginning of next year having seemingly fallen behind Mercedes in the pecking order this season.

However, it’s hard to deny that a combination of Leclerc and Hamilton together is going to be extremely difficult to beat if they have a quick enough car.
The 26-year-old has now shared what he thinks will be ‘amazing’ about racing alongside the seven-time world champion in 2025.
Leclerc will be hoping to have less challenging moments than he did with Carlos Sainz who he has admitted he hated racing against occasionally despite their positive relationship.

Charles Leclerc shares ‘amazing’ verdict on racing alongside Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari
Talking about the opportunity to work with Hamilton next year, Leclerc said: “For me, it’s going to be amazing.
“I’ll have in the same car as me the most successful driver in F1 history and that will be both extremely interesting for me to learn from one of the best ever as well as a really big challenge and motivation to beat Lewis and to show what I’m capable of.”
Hamilton has a fantastic record against his previous teammates in Formula 1.
Fernando Alonso wasn’t happy up against Hamilton during his debut season at McLaren and quickly left to re-join Renault in 2008 after both drivers cost the other the chance to win a world championship.
Nico Rosberg got the better of Hamilton in 2016 but the toll of that season was a factor in his immediate retirement from the sport after claiming the title.
Valtteri Bottas was a loyal teammate to the Brit and helped him win four championships in a row before making way for George Russell.
Russell has been a formidable challenger to Hamilton and beat him in the 2022 Drivers’ Championship, but will have to watch from afar to see who gets the upper hand at Ferrari next year.

Charles Leclerc has already proven what a good teammate he is at Ferrari this year
For the past four years, Leclerc and Sainz have battled for supremacy at Ferrari, with the Monegasque narrowly coming out on top to retain his seat once Hamilton made himself available to the team.
They’ve both achieved one victory, although Leclerc is 15 points clear of Sainz in the championship.
Sainz will point to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix when he was forced to sit out due to having appendix surgery as the reason why he’s trailing his teammate this year.
Oliver Bearman stepped up in his place and did a fine job, finishing 7th and eventually earning a race seat at Haas for next year partly due to how he drove that weekend.
Bearman shared the priceless advice Leclerc gave him before that Grand Prix that helped him finish in the points. While Leclerc’s unlikely to be giving Hamilton any pointers, it’s that level of cooperation that Ferrari will hope can see them overtake their rivals next season and beyond.
