Ferrari have high hopes ahead of the 2025 F1 season and are set to debut their SF25 car at Fiorano this week.

It’ll be the first taste of their new machinery for marquee signing Lewis Hamilton, who has joined from Mercedes after agreeing a deal over one year ago.

He and Charles Leclerc will use some of the team’s filming day hours to make sure that the car is running smoothly and to offer some feedback on its developments.

Ferrari are expected to be in contention for both the drivers’ and constructors’ championship but will be wary of stiff competition from the likes of McLaren, Red Bull and Mercedes.

Ferrari have completed a fundamental factory upgrade that will benefit Hamilton and boost their development drive as the season progresses.

Gerhard Berger has diminished Leclerc’s Ferrari advantage and believes that the two teammates will be separated by very little on track.

Ferrari had to cancel their F1 car launch in 2012 due to ‘difficulties’ with snow

Formula 1 car launches are usually a formality and one of the smoother events of the season. It’s hard for them to go wrong considering the amount of planning behind them.

Rather peculiarly, that wasn’t the case for Ferrari in 2012, who were forced to cancel their car launch as a result of heavy snow in Maranello.

Speaking about the decision in a press release, they mentioned that there were too many difficulties in rounding the 300 expected arrivals to the area safely.

“Therefore, the decision has been taken to cancel the presentation ceremony for the new car, which was to have taken place at 10.30 tomorrow,” the team said.

“The decision was taken because of the weather conditions and because of the difficulties that would have faced the 300 or so people due to attend from the team partners, the authorities and representatives of the media in their attempts to get to Maranello.”

Formula 1’s highly anticipated F175 launch will bring all 10 teams together to reveal their liveries for the 2025 season at the same time.

London’s O2 Arena will host those who want to get a peak at how the cars may look visually on the track before the 24-race campaign.

It’ll be a first official public appearance for Hamilton since he started work with them in January. He’s going to be asked plenty of questions regarding the team’s aims for the year.

He and teammate Leclerc then have to travel back to Italy and get up early tomorrow in order to be ready for their first run in the SF25.

Hitting the Fiorano track, they will make sure that everything runs smoothly with the car and that there aren’t any early glaring issues with it.
