Lewis Hamilton’s life has completely transformed over the last few years and he heads into 2025 ready to tackle a new project with Ferrari.
He made the brave decision to leave Mercedes after an 11-year association with the team that he managed to win six Drivers’ Championships with.
Hamilton could make one change that triggers fireworks at Ferrari if he finds his hunger to compete for victories again.
The seven-time champion ended a three-year winless streak last season, which should give him the confidence to compete against highly rated new teammate Charles Leclerc.
The Monegasque could pose a threat in qualifying and is renowned for his ability to finish near the front on a Saturday.
Hamilton is the master of performing when it matters on a Sunday though, and it’s that trait which could bring Ferrari further into contention this season.

Lewis Hamilton’s ‘greatest partnership’ in Formula 1 was with Angela Cullen
The Brit split from his trainer Angela Cullen ahead of the 2023 season in a move which shocked the Formula 1 paddock.
Toto Wolff initially rejected Hamilton’s support proposal after Cullen left but gave in to allow him to work with Stephen Lord.

Cullen and Hamilton worked very well together, and the Brit told Ziggo Sport that part of the reason for it was because she could help fix his physical issues.
“I’d have, like, muscle tightness in my neck, or I’d have problems with my lower back, or glute, whatever it might be, and my trainer could never fix it,” he said.
“So you’d have to just deal with it through the weekend and I was like, ‘This doesn’t make sense. I don’t need to train on the weekends.’ So I was like, ‘I need to find a physio.’
“Angela had done a bit of work on me back home, so I spoke to her and asked her, ‘Would you like to come on the road with me?’ and little did I know that we would have the greatest partnership.”
Is Lewis Hamilton going to win the 2025 F1 championship?
Winning an eighth championship in 2025 would set Hamilton apart at a level above anyone else who has ever competed in the sport.
He would have the most titles, wins and podiums of anyone. He would be officially clear of Michael Schumacher, but there’s a long road to go down before he can achieve that.
It would also be sweet for him to win away from the Mercedes setup and with an engine that wasn’t made by the Germans.
The driveability of every power unit is different, so it will take some getting used to but he might end up preferring the Italian engine.
Schumacher performed well with it but also won with Ford and Renault power in his time proving just how dynamic he was behind the wheel.
Hamilton turns 40 just before the summer break, but as Fernando Alonso has shown, looking after your body can go a long way towards maintaining performance. If he can follow that trend, he could win again.
