Lance Stroll is the son of a billionaire and dates a model girlfriend, so here is all that you need to know about the Formula 1 driver currently competing for Aston Martin.

The Canadian broke into F1 with Williams back in 2017, with Stroll enjoying his debut at that year’s Australian GP. It was not a debut to remember, however, as a brake issue forced him to retire. But Stroll also stood on his debut podium in 2017 at the Azerbaijan GP with third place.

Stroll further showcased his talents at the 2017 Italian GP by qualifying fourth on the grid in extreme rain at Monza. While a wet qualifying session at the 2020 Turkish GP also saw Stroll claim his maiden pole position with Racing Point, having left Williams after the 2018 season.

The Aston Martin driver made his GT3 debut in April with Comtoyou Racing, joining teammates Roberto Merhi and Mari Boya. Stroll took the wheel of the Aston Martin-powered car during the four-week break in the calendar, following the cancellations of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix.

Stroll’s maiden GT3 run was marred by eight minutes of penalties accrued by his teammates before he even jumped in the car. The team dropped from 15th to 38th before Stroll’s stint, with the Canadian posting the eighth fastest time before being forced to retire with gearbox issues.

Chloe often travels the world aboard the family’s Bombardier BD 700 Global 6000 private jet or their $282m (£223m) superyacht, Faith. Lawrence Stroll and Claire-Anne Callens’ careers also both stemmed from fashion. Lawrence’s dad, Leo Strulovitch, was also huge in fashion.

Strulovitch was the man who took Ralph Lauren and Pierre Cardin clothing to Canada. While Lawrence followed in his father’s footsteps by taking Ralph Lauren to the European markets. He also invested in clothing designers Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors beside Silas Chou.

Today, Lawrence Stroll also resides in Geneva, Switzerland and ranked 787th in Forbes’ 2023 list of billionaires. His part-ownership of the Aston Martin brand boosted his ranking, having led a $235.5m (£182m) investment in January 2020 – which preceded renaming his F1 team.

The self-made billionaire led a consortium in buying the Force India F1 team in August 2018 for £90m, plus assuming £15m in debt. Stroll renamed the team ‘Racing Point’ following the takeover before using his Aston Martin takeover to take the British brand back to F1 in 2021.

It was also through Lance that Chloe met snowboarder James, who she later started dating in April 2019. Hollywood A-listers including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, plus fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger, even attended the couple’s 2022 engagement party in Cannes.

The pair have since married and now share a one-year-old son named Leo, who was born in October 2024.

Lance Stroll is reportedly dating Israeli model and actress Yael Shelbia after the pair were spotted on holiday together in 2025. They appeared to confirm their relationship in April 2026, with Stroll sharing a photo of Shelbia on his Instagram Stories, before she posted a series of images of her own, including a childhood picture of Stroll and a shot of the couple cuddling on a sofa.

Stroll previously split from his girlfriend Marilou Belanger at the end of 2024. The pair confirmed their relationship in December 2023, after Belanger teased the romance on Instagram in September 2023.

The Canadian model has since removed all photos of the couple from her social media and unfollowed the driver.
