Arvid Lindblad is seen as one of the next prodigies set to come out of Red Bull’s Young Driver Programme, so here is everything you need to know about the young Briton.
Having started off his career in go-karts at the age of nine, Lindblad was taken under the wing of Formula E driver Oliver Rowland.
He won his first karting title in 2020 in the WSK Super Master Series in the OKJ class, which earned him attention from Red Bull. After signing to their junior team in 2021, he went on to win the WSK Euro Series and WSK Final Cup.
Making his single-seater debut in 2022, Lindblad competed in the Italian Formula 4 championship. After a season at Van Amersfoort Racing, he switched to Prema, which led to him winning his first F4 race at Imola before following it up with victories at Misano and Monza.
In 2024 he made the switch to the FIA Formula 3 Championship, almost instantly winning on his debut weekend at the Bahrain Sprint race. He would later win the longer Feature Race at the Spanish round, becoming the youngest feature race winner in the championship’s history. He finished the year fourth in the Drivers’ Championship, after struggling in the final rounds.
In 2025, Lindblad was promoted up to Formula 2, having an impressive rookie season with Campos Racing. The teenager finished the season in sixth place before being given a full-time Formula 1 seat in 2026 with Racing Bulls.

Having won the Formula Regional Oceania Championship during the 2024/2025 winter break, Lindblad earned 18 super licence points, which puts him over the required 40 points to be eligible for a full super licence.
This led to reports that Red Bull had been ‘urgently training’ Lindblad in private tests to build up his super licence points tally, with rumours he could join the F1 grid in 2025, although it has since been revealed he will step up to Racing Bulls for the 2026 season.
