Max Verstappen has been taking the Formula 1 world by storm since his debut in 2015. Known as the “Flying Dutchman,” he made his mark on the racing scene at just 17 years old, becoming the youngest driver ever to compete in the sport. But his passion for racing started long before that, thanks in part to his father, Jos Verstappen, who was also a Formula 1 driver.

Early Career

Verstappen’s journey to F1 began in the world of karting, where he quickly made a name for himself as one of the sport’s rising stars. He won numerous championships in his youth, including the European KF and KZ titles, and the World KZ championship in 2013. It was clear that this kid had talent, and it wasn’t long before he caught the attention of Red Bull’s talent scouts.

Formula 3

In 2014, Verstappen made the move to Formula 3, competing in the FIA European Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. He quickly made an impact, winning 10 races and finishing third in the championship. The following year, he made the leap to F1 with Toro Rosso, becoming the youngest driver ever to start a Grand Prix.

Formula 1

Max’s fearless driving style and ability to overtake quickly earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting drivers on the grid. He became the youngest ever driver to win a Formula 1 race at the age of 18 years and 228 days at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix.

He’s hasn’t looked back since, and came out on top of the most thrilling end to a Formula 1 season ever in 2021, pipping Lewis Hamilton to the World Championship on the final lap in Abu Dhabi. He went on to win the title again in 2022 with Red Bull Racing, and is already developing an extraordinary reputation within the sport.

All in all, Verstappen is a true talent in the world of motorsport, and it’s clear that he’s just getting started.
